* 2 years later, she would've been nearly 19 ,she was nearly 17 when she left*

"How is she doing?" The man asked the Hydra agent as he stepped by his side watching the brunette fight

"She's doing great, in fact she has becomed stronger than we intended" the agent informed

A smirk crawled on the man's face as he watched the girl kick a man to the other side of the wall before moving on to the next one

"Then we should take her to the next step, bring in the Winter Soldier"

The agent nodded before disappearing down the empty hall

"You will pay Anthony Stark, who better than your daughter to do the job"

Denial

"No she can't be dead!" Tony shouted, mind clouded refusing to accept that she was gone

Happy held him tightly against him, keeping him from jumping in

Pepper sobbed holding lilacs in her arms as the casket was lowered onto the ground

An casket that only reminded Tony of his mistakes, a casket filled with the memory of his deepest regret

"No" he whispered

Anger

"Tony, I know what you're going through but you gotta talk to us man" Rhodey said as he followed after Tony

"Leave me alone Rhodes" Tony said harshly as he rushed to his car

Rhodey pulled him by the coat, immediately receiving a hard shove to his chest

"You guys don't get anything, I don't need you to be my therapist, I dont need anybody assuming how I feel, I dont need any of you, so leave me the hell alone!" Tony shouted angrily as he drove off

Bargaining

"What if things had ended up different Pep" Tony asked, far from sober after spending hours at a bar

Pepper sighed, swallowing the lump in her throat

"Things can't be changed anymore Tony, I just want you to know it wasn't your fault" she reassured him softly

Tony swallowed, eyes shifting back and forth between her and the locked door he had forbidden himself from going into

"If she was here she would be playing the piano downstairs" he whispered softly as  Pepper laid him down in his bed

Pepper sat down softly next to him, watching him until he dozed off

"Yeah, yeah she would" she whispered softly, her soft cries filling the room

Depression

"I brought you a cheeseburger" Happy said as he walked in his office
Tony remained silent and sitted in his chair, eyes focused on his blueprints

"Alright, how bout I get you some pizza from that place you really like?" He asked hoping to emit a reaction but nothing

Happy sighed setting down the takeout  bag on the desk

"Come on Tones, you gotta eat something " he said "you've been here for over 13 hours, you haven't slept, ate, showered"

Tony said nothing as he flipped through pages
