To say Tony Stark didn't get much sleep was an understatement. Case in point. The brunette focused on the metal arm in front of him. Tinkering around with the advanced machinery that had become a huge role in his life. The sound Back in Black began playing loudly from his phone
"Romanoff, how can I be of service?" He asked casually as he cleaned his hands
"Have you checked your files?" Natasha Romanoff asked
Tony frowned slightly as he pushed his chair toward the other side of the counter
"Suuuure..." he trailed off as an unknown file appeared on his screen
"Click on it" Natasha ordered
Tony did as told. His screen brightened up as a blurry footage filled his screen
"What am I looking at?" He asked hesitantly as he observed the screen
"..just look" natasha answered shortly
Sounds of explosions shook the camera slightly. Agents of sorts ran around with weapons in hands.
"What the hell is that thing!" A man loudly cried as a huge light exploded from a base. A man on fire ran out of the building screaming in pain.
Tony shifted slightly in his seat
"ON THE ROOF! IT'S ON THE ROOF!"
A figure strutted casually, weaponless before disappearing out of sight.
A final bright explosion blended with the sounds of screams and then screen filled with static.
Tony rubbed his eyes as he placed the phone to his ear
"Where did you get this?" He asked firmly
"A contact of mine found this hidden in a main Hydra base in Romania" she answered "But there's more"
His screen filled with photos of destroyed, burned down bases of sorts
"And get this....they are all Hydra bases" She spoke firmly
Tony frowned as he clicked on the images
"But if this thing is Hydra why is it taking itself down?" He asked
A bed creaked softly "Look Tony, I wanted you to see this because of this" A small beep came from the screen and blurry images appeared
Tony narrowed his eyes
"They call him the Winter Soldier, he's credited with over two dozen assassinations in the last fifty years, he's a ghost story" She explained
His eyes shifted to the figure behind him covered by most of his body
"Is that-"
"Yes, rare recent reports from witnesses my contact managed to get have said they have seen them together, and all those who admitted to it were found dead... not a single drop of blood left in their bodies"
Tony groaned slightly as he rubbed his face
"Rogers has taken an interest in him, and I agreed to help him find him" she admitted
"And you think it might be with him" Tony said
"Yes" she said
Tony stood up
"Alright, and what do you need me to do" He spoke breathlessly
"I need you to help me track them down, it won't be easy, but I could use the help. I'm not one to usually ask for backup but...all this...it's leading to something, and I want to know what it is"
Tony sighed softly
"...alright when do we start?"
