*Carl's P.O.V*

"So do you think they'll join?" Enid asked me as we were walking back to Alexandria.

"I hope so". I said.

"It would be the right thing to do. Cause the saviors know that they exist as well. They were the ones that killed Benjamin". Enid said.

She had a point.

At this point, Enid completely knows what she is talking about. She knows what to say to prove a point. We're at a certain point in this world.

"When did you become so full of knowledge of this world?" I asked as I looked over at her.

"Since I figured out this was reality." She said.

"You didn't realize this was a reality?" I asked.

How long has it took for her to figure out the reality of this world? People are dying everyday. People are trying to survive.

"It was after my parents died. I realized then that I had to look after myself. I did that for a while until I came across Alexandria. Then I was with the community. They took me in." She said

"But why did you not want people to look after you now? You went outside the walls where something could've happened to you." I explained.

She nodded which meant she was agreeing with me.

"Because I feel like I have to whether I am apart of a community or not. The people there are not always gonna protect me or you in this matter. But they will right now because we all have the same problem." She said.

"Alexandria is not just a home to me. It's also a family. We work together because we're a family. We're there for each other. I look after you because you're apart of my family. Same with Ali. Even though she's my girlfriend, she's my family. We're all here cause we're a family and we're suppose to help each other." I said.

"Just remember something Carl." She said and then looked at me.

We were starring in each other's eyes.

"What?" I asked.

"If there isn't someone there to be there for you then, you just survive somehow." She said.

Just survive somehow.

"Always." I said.

So Enid and I finally arrived at Alexandria.

It was quite a walk but it was nice to be outside and just enjoy nature.

Even though I don't enjoy nature too much because I'm too busy trying to survive and kill all these dead people.

You'll understand.

"That was quite an adventure." Enid said as the gate was opened and we went inside.

"It was nice. When Ali is healed, we gotta do that again." I said.

"I agree." I nodded.

"Where were you guys?" Michonne said coming up to us.

"Outside of Alexandria. Kinda went on a run." I said.

"Like I'll believe you guys. If you went on a run, you'll have some stuff with you."

"We couldn't find anything." Enid said.

"Nothing?" Michonne asked shocked.

I know she doesn't believe us and she would most likely question us later or at least to me when Enid isn't around.
