Chapter 23

*Carl's P.O.V*

I had no idea what was happening. This was all something that was coming so fast and it was hard to understand.

All I knew was that we were going somewhere.

But where?

"Wanna tell me what's up?" I asked my dad as we were walking.

"Do you remember how we need more guns?" He asked me.

I nodded my head.

"Well we thought it would take us a while to find those guns but luckily we were able to find a solution."

"And what is the solution?" I asked.

"Tara had ran into a group a while back and it had seemed that they had a lot of guns. So we are going to them and taking their guns." My dad said.

I didn't know what to think about what he was planning but he was right. We needed guns and this was the only straight forward plan that we can have. I would have to agree with what he is proposing and I have to follow through. I think the will just be hard though because people can't listen, especially in a world like this.

"Can they help us?" I asked.

"That's the least of our concern right now. We need the guns."

I was just gonna let him do his own thing and I know that he wants to get this over with.

So I was with Ali and Enid and we were following the group.

My dad, Michonne, Tara, Daryl, Rosita, Tobin, Jesus and a bunch of others were here and we were following them.

"What is the least that can happen?" Ali asked me.

"Hopefully not death." I stated.

So we got to the place and since Tara knew them, she was the one that had to get them to come out.

We waited for who knows how long. Then my dad started to make some noise.

It would be a noise where it would be a way where they can come out.

It was genius.

So the people that are apart of this group, came out and my dad started to talk.

He was explaining to them that they will give up every gun that they have and that there shouldn't be any objections.

There were some talk going on and then it happened.

There were some walkers coming and then part of us went to work. We started to shoot the walkers down.

Ali was right next to me as I was shooting.

We shot every one of the walkers down and then my dad went back to business.

He started letting the women hand in their guns. This whole group is full of women, there is no men.

The group is called Oceanside.

So we had a box where we would put the guns in.

"Do you think about the people you killed?" Enid asked.

"Yeah. I even think of the ones I haven't." I said.

"I do it when I'm alone because at times I have to think. It's just something that happens." I then added.

"It's not bad to think." Ali said.

"I do it when I'm scared." I admitted.

"Why are you scared?"

"The thought of this world and what makes around it makes it scary. So then I think of what I've done in the past." I said.

"You're okay." Ali said and I nodded.

We continued to watch the women turn in their guns.

"Why do you think that this group is only woman?" Enid asked.

"They're a threat to the saviors as well. The saviors must've killed all the men that was here." I explained.

"So they hide?" Ali asked.

"Most likely." Enid said shaking her head.

"I think it's stupid for them to hide when I know that they should go and fight. Hiding may be their way of protecting themselves but it doesn't do them any good though. It's more dangerous than safe."

"Since when did you know all about survival?" Enid asked.

"When my mom died."

"She'll be proud of you, Carl." Ali said looking at me.

I nodded.

"She wanted me to be brave and strong. I feel like I've done enough to know what it's all about. Don't you think?" I asked.

Ali and Enid nodded.

"You could be a good leader one day, Carl." Enid said.

"That's the goal."

When the women finished doing what they were doing, we were now getting ready to leave.

"All set?" I asked my dad as he came up to me.

"Yeah but now we gotta go to where the scavengers are. You, Ali and Enid can go back to Alexandria." My dad said.

"Will do." I said.

"How much longer until the fight?" Ali asked me.

I was only with Ali now. Enid had went back to Maggie back at Hilltop. I'm sure Enid is still worried about Sasha but I'm sure everything will be fine.

"Each day that goes by, means a day closer." I said.

"Does it make you nervous?"

"No." I shook my head.

"What's the reason to be nervous? I'm ready to go after them for what they have done. You would have to be the same." I then added.

"What if something happens?" Ali asked.

"If something happens then something happens. But don't worry, I'll be by your side the whole time and won't let anything happen to you." I assured Ali.

I don't want nothing to happen to her.

"And then when after this is over, what's next?" She asked.

"Hopefully the next chapter of our lives." I said and then kissed her.

Hey guys, here is another chapter to Hero.

Please note and understand that the reason I didn't post a chapter last week is because last week it was an important week for me.

Last week was gonna be the week where I graduated high school. I just wanted to focus on myself.

But here is the chapter that is suppose to be up.

So the group goes visits Oceanside, it's another group just full of women, and they take their guns.

Why do they just take all of their guns?

Well it's because there's another group that Rick has struck a deal with. So that's why.

This story will now start to get interesting.
