Chapter 42

*Ali's P.O.V*

The gang is getting together. Today was the day that we are gonna end this war and we don't have to deal with Negan ever again.

Everyone was at Hilltop.

"You'll still come back for me, right?" Henry asked. 

I crouched down so that I was the same level as him.

"I'll be back, don't you worry. Then I'll be able to take care of you." I say.

He nodded and gave me one last hug before we both went outside. 

Henry was only about a couple of years younger than me and it's crazy to see just how much grown he is and how he is wanting to be there for people. It's sweet. 

I was off in the distance watching people talk and go over some stuff when Siddiq came over to me.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"Let me tell you what happened." He said.

"Two minutes." I said.

I didn't even wanna hear him at all but I am willing to let him say something to me.

"I wasn't expecting him to come back for me. I was okay on my own and then he was there. He was telling me stories about his mom and he was able to feel what I was feeling about my mom. When we got attacked, I can tell he was hurting but he didn't want to tell me. He did something brave and that has to count for something." He pleaded.

He was fucking pleading.

"Carl was brave but now look where he is. He's dead. I wish he didn't see you at the gas station. He should've left you on your own to suffer because you deserve it. But now, who's suffering? Me. Rick. Michonne. The people that loved him. You're no longer hurting. It's me who is. I don't deserve it." I said.

"I don't care about you. I never did and I don't care if you're a doctor either. You're not a hero you proclaim of yourself. You're someone who just thinks they are." I said and then walked away.

I don't want anything to do with him now. 

When I was walking, I saw Morgan starting to get crazy and out of nowhere, I saw him hit Henry with his bo-staff and I am sure he didn't mean to do it. 

Henry looked so frightened. 

"Are you okay? I asked Henry as he walked up to me after he got up. 

"Yeah, I'm okay. I am just shaken up." He laughed.

"You seem to be a little shaken up but that's good." I nodded.

We were all getting ready to leave and I was ready to leave as well.

I waved a goodbye to Henry and then we were out.

We were in a meadow and then we heard some whistles. 

"Go." Rick said and we started walking until we were stopped. 

Negan was there and he started talking about how this is all over and he was saying that he has Dwight and Father Gabriel with him. What is Negan gonna do? I am nervous.

It seemed like something was about to happen because we saw the saviors coming up and then something had blown up. I couldn't tell what they were but they seem to be the guns that the saviors had.

What happened to their guns?

We all were soo confused.

"Go but be careful." Rick said and we all nodded.
