"We're here!!"

I nearly screamed but then again. I might be questioned by people.

Society in this generation called us women to be petite and charming.

I don't know if people would see me as this petite and charming person, if they saw me screaming and running around George like a kid.

"Could you please, Karen. Don't over-react! It's just South Africa."

"You don't feel what I feel, my dear Georgie.. I've never been into a foreign land and most likely not around the late 1800s so yeah. You can't relate to me."

"It's also my first time, Karen. But you don't see me here dancing like an idiot! So could you keep it down."

Yeah.. About the "petite and charming persona thing". I ignored it.

I danced like an idiot like my dearest, Georgie said.

Personally I don't care.. My life, not theirs. If they gossip about me anyway, I'll just choose not to hear any of it.

----

So we're here.

Yay!

Not joking, I pulled George and we we're the first ones to get out of that fucking ship.

"Could you stop dragging me! Gosh, very childish Karen."

"I'm not!"

"Indeed?"

"Indeed! I'm only excited.."

"Fine, let's just go okay? Time is gold after all."

"Yes, Captain!"

We took the train. It was a very boring train ride.

Very awkward too. People inside just stared blankly like there's no life inside of their body...

They also stared coldly at me?

What did I do??

"Umm, Georgie.."

"Yes, Karen?"

"Why are these people staring at me like I've done something wrong and would to stoned to death? Why?"

He studied me for a while..

"It's the way you sit.. It's not very womanly.."

"There's nothing wrong about the way I sit! Excuse you!"

"Umm sure.. I guess sitting with your feet up the chair is very normal in this period of time.."

Then I've realised that...

We're not in the modern world..

Shit.

"Shit! I'm sorry Georgie.. Gosh.."

"Why are you apologising?"

"I don't know.. It's just that. I'm embarrassed."

"Again, over-reacting. Just sit properly and the people won't look at you."

The rest of the train ride was still kind of boring. I actually slept on George's shoulder which he didn't mind at all.

----

"Wake up."

"Hmmm. I don't wanna."

"Karen. Wake up! Do you want me to drag you out?"

"Coming!"

I stepped out and oh my god.

This is a whole new land!
