Chapter 17: End This

Aeryn POV

"I'm sorry for the trouble, Ninong." malungkot kong sabi.

Guilty talaga ako dahil may pictorial na ang drama nila at may iilan na na-shoot. Kakausap ko lang sa network executives naming kanina at sumang-ayon silang lahat sa pagpapatanggal kay Catherine Alfonso sa afternoon drama na siya sanang pagbibidahan niya.

Paperworks are getting ready. She's going to be completely fired out by tomorrow by the network. Ang mga endorsement niya ay cinut-off na din ng network. Mayroon naman daw kasi silang agad agad mahahanap na kapalit niya, isa sa mga kasabay niyang nag-audition para doon.

They even showed me the actress who's going to replace her and I must say, she really is quite a beauty compared to Catherine Alfonso. Ni hindi ko alam bakit ba kasi kinonsider na bigyan nang lead role ang isang taong di naman pang-leading lady ang itsura.

"Oh, darling! Wag kang mag-alala. Always felt something fishy about that kid. Medyo prima dona na kahit starlet palang. Her acting is as mediocre as her looks. Automatic winner lang siya noong audition because she was lucky to win an award sa isang recognized na Acting Awarding." Ninong ranted as he sipped on his cigar.

Nadagdagan ang problema niya dahil sa selfish whims ko. I suddenly wonder if what I'm doing is all worth it...

I told the network executives and Ninong Perry that Catherine Alfonso harassed me and was cheating with my boyfriend, Eros. Dahil malakas ako sa management at inaanak ako ni Ninong Perry, they all agreed to cut off Catherine with everything she has right now.

She'll lose her big break. She'll lose her job. She'll lose her endorsement. She'll be banned in the network. Basically, Catherine Alfonso is completely destroyed.

Ninong must've noticed how sorrowful my face was.

"Hay, inaanak. You should not feel sad about it. She deserves it! Ang network executives na din mismo ang nagdesisyon and suggest since she isn't an asset anyway. By the way, mayroon palang naka-picture ng pagha-harass niya kanina sa'yo. Ang chismosong staff ko ay nasend na agad sa isang gossip website blogger. I can tell the media 'bout it too. What do you think?" Ninong Perry said with a smug face.

Mabigat ang pakiramdam ko. Kung kanina ay sobrang lakas ng loob ko para sirain siya, ngayon naman ay unting-unti ako naghihinaan ng loob. I have never been this mean and selfish all my life. Ngayon lang. I can't believe my love for Eros would drive me crazy to go this far... to destroy other people's lives.

I gave him a small smile.

"Kayo po ang bahala, Ninong." I said with a weary expression.

He let out a big sigh and said something before we go our separate ways.

"I talked to her after that, Ryn. At ikaw pa ang inaakusa niya na nag-harass sakanya eh kitang-kita naman ng lahat na siya itong umaaway sa'yo. She even had the guts to say that you just seduced Eros from her when everyone knows that you were together with him from the start. I just can't wait to get rid of her!" iritado niyang sabi.

Kahit gusto ko mang makipag-usap pa kay Ninong Perry, I just feel so drained. Masyado naman din kasing nakakapagod ang araw na ito. I feel like talking or doing more would just worsen my state right now.

Pagdating ko sa aking condo, hindi parin natigil ang mabigat na pakiramdam ko. Mas lalo lang itong lumala dahil bigla ko naramdaman ang pagkahilo at ang kagustuhang sumuka.

I got teary-eyed as I kept on vomiting in the toilet. My God!

I feel like it's my early karma for being so mean to Catherine and practically ending her. It's what I wanted from the start pero masyado nang huli para bawiin pa ang lahat. Ni hindi ko alam bakit ako nasusuka ng biglaan. Must be of the fatigue I have already felt for the past few days...
