Mark followed the angel agent to an asylum looking building and hesitated. The agents behind him raised their guns in preparation for his resistance. Mark glanced over his shoulders at them, but stayed still. He didn't like this. This felt like a horror game. Only he was carrying his lover in willingly as the sacrifice. The angel agent turned, sighing heavily at the other agents. The angel agent moved quickly to the closest agent, forcing him to lower his gun as he snapped at the others. "Leave us. Now"! The other agents hesitated, while one grumbled out. "Eros, we can't let either of you out of our sight". Eros raised his glowing bow, pulling back the string slowly, sternly commanding. "Do you want to live your life in love with a toad"? The other agents immediately lowered their guns, stepping back from them. The grumbling agent straightened up defiantly, stating. "You know what they will do to you for disobeying orders".

Eros smirked sarcastically, informing the agent firmly. "You can tell Michael to kiss my ass. Now go"! The agent bowed to Eros, then gestured for his guards to follow. Mark's arms tightened around Sean's body, asking Eros curiously. "Eros? The Greek love god"? Eros made sure the agents kept walking toward the building, but answered with a chuckle. "I'm not a god. Just an angel. Although, from a humans perspective they think I am". Eros lowered his glowing white bow, leading Mark away in a different direction. Mark shook his head confused, saying aloud. "Alright. You're going to have to tell me what is going on... because I'm more lost than ever. Why were they watching you"? Eros continued to lead them into the woods, informing him casually. "Alright... Let's just say that this predicament that you are in is my fault". Eros glanced back only long enough to gesture at Sean in his arms, then continued on. "I got carried away and made you two a pairing".

Mark stopped cold in his tracks, forcing Eros to stop and look at him. Staring into Eros's eyes, Mark seriously asked. "You did what"? Eros sighed heavily, rubbing his temples and mumbling out to himself. "Oh sweet fuck...". Lowering his hand, Eros told him much slower. "I'll go back. That kiss you and Sean shared at your mother's house... That was my doing. Angel of love. Angel of matchmaking. I wasn't suppose to do that. Which has caused all this". Eros started to turn, then turned back to add in more bluntly. "Just because I know this will come up... The illuminati... It's an angel agency that sometimes works with select humans to contain rogue, or dangerous angels. That includes their demon halves. Or Nephilim. Understand now"? Eros didn't wait for Mark to answer, he simply turned to keep moving.

Mark reluctantly followed him, listening to Eros fill him in more. "See, Angels of death aren't suppose to fall in love. I got curious to see what would happen if one did. I didn't count on him actually being a match to you. Which because of that, when his demon half was forced to merge with his angel half... Things got muddled up. Which Michael blames me for, but for fucks sake... merging angels takes a lot of power and effort. I'd love to see HIM actually try it! It's not my fault that I can't get Sean's demon to merge seamlessly with his other half. It shouldn't be MY job. Containment is suppose to be an Arch-Angels job... but no... They have got to punish me for Anti acting out. What good are my abilities against an Angel of death?! The bastards". Mark slowed to a stop again, before he told Eros nicely. "Wait a minute... Are you saying that you are going to remove his love for me"?

Eros turned to face him, leaning his shoulder against a tree, stating dryly back. "If only it were that easy. If you two hadn't been so compatible, than I could have removed it easily. A simple heartbreak or a stronger desire for something else... but no. If a couple is truly compatible... I am powerless to break it. Cause that means that there is something special to come from it. So, my only option is to fix this my way... Not Michael's". Mark felt a bit of relief, asking lightly. "What is Michael's way"? Eros rolled his eyes, gesturing with his bow back toward the building they left behind, stating sourly. "To lock Sean in there with the others that are too dangerous to deal with at this present time. Which given Anti's resent events with the medical ward... MY ward. I think that is a horrible idea. So, I'm not doing it".

Mark hefted Sean more comfortably in his arms, suspiciously retorting. "So, what is your plan to deal with him"? Eros flashed Mark a bright dazzling smile and Mark found himself blushing. Eros was... attractive when he smiled like that. Eros moved away from the tree, commenting like he hadn't noticed Mark's reaction. "Same way I got you both into this. Trust me". Mark rolled his eyes muttering out to himself. "Can I really trust an angel of love that is under 'house-arrest'? Seems... questionable". Eros shot him another stunning grin over his shoulder, replying playfully. "Is forbidden love the sweetest tasting"? Mark had to avert his eyes from Eros, but mumbled out. "Yes". Eros didn't seem all that bad... but looks were always deceiving. Eros was an Angel of love though. So, could Eros even do something deceiving?

Eros brought him out into a clearing, gesturing to the center and saying excitedly. "Tada! Perfect, right? No need to thank me". Mark narrowed sarcastic eyes on Eros, dryly mumbling out. "I'm suppose to thank you for an open field? How is this going to help us exactly"? Now Eros looked confused as he looked between Mark and the open field. After a minute or two, Eros snapped his fingers in understanding. Winking at Mark, he chuckled out. "Ah, I see. My bad. I forget humans can't see beyond the plain they are in. Hang on". Eros set his bow down on the ground and clapped his hands twice. Mark watched the clearing shimmer and a curtain appeared to open to reveal a small log cabin. Eros chuckled at Mark's awed reaction. The cabin looked cozy and welcoming. Eros gestured for him to check it out, telling him. "You both should be safe here and it will be a lot nicer than the room they would have put you in".

Mark approached the weird ethereal curtain, asking Eros nervously. "What do you get out of this"? Eros picked his bow back up, stating honestly. "I get my physical wings back. A chance to get off this boring island for good. I can only sneak away from these kill-joys so many times, before they catch on. Arch-Angels and Love Angels have nothing is common, I'll tell ya that. It's all business and orders. I'm going crazy here. So, the faster I help you, the better". Mark slid a foot passed the curtain timidly. When nothing happened to his foot, he curiously said. "How does a cabin in the middle of the woods help us"? Eros moved closer to him than Mark was ready for. Leaning over Mark's shoulder, Eros whispered a bit too suggestively. "I'm sure you can think of a way to amuse yourselves. After all... I somehow managed to get Anti to kiss you in the cave".

Mark had been trying to keep his heart from pounding in his chest, when Eros dropped that bomb. Mark only slightly turned to face him, when Eros pushed him into the curtain clearing with a small smile. The curtain fell back into place like an invisible force field, but Eros continued to look at him, saying sweetly. "You wanna help Sean? Get them to feel the same. Merge their heart and their bodies will follow". Mark shrugged, but Eros didn't say more. Eros simply raised his hand to twist a stone on his ring, vanishing. Mark groaned loudly and kicked the curtain lightly. Solid. It was simply a more luxurious cage. Carrying Sean toward the cabin, he laid Sean out in the bedroom. The cabin was small, but was defiantly better than the cell room in his... delusional nightmare.

There was even food in the cabinets in the small kitchen. Feeling starved, he set to work making some chili and snacking on different things he found. The fireplace crackled in the living room, helping Mark to relax as he thought about the cave. He was just about to turn the burner off, when he noticed his wrist. The black vein had reached up to his elbow now. Was it spreading faster? He didn't want to know what would happen to him if it reached his heart. Mark rubbed his arm nervously and turned off the burner. Stirring the hot contains of the pot, Mark's eyes rose to the window to see the reflection of someone behind him. A small grin pulled at his lips and his heart swelled at the sight of Sean. Sean ran a hand through his hair, asking him really confused. "Mark...? What happened? Where are we"?

Mark slowly turned around to pull Sean into a warm hug, whispering against his ear. "I think we are safe for now. How are you feeling"? Sean's stomach growled loudly, causing Mark to laugh. Sean twisted from his arms, blushing a deep red as he mumbled out embarrassed. "Don't laugh at me...". Mark cupped Sean's cheek, kissing his forehead briefly. He couldn't explain to Sean what a relief it was to have him back. He was always tense around Anti, but Sean was a breath of fresh air. He hoped that without conflict or threats... Maybe he could finally help Sean remain in control long enough to help him. To Be Continued...
