(Y/N) POV

This was the day. Oof I was scared as heck. And now that I thought about it, how would I get to the camp without getting noticed by Alex, John, Hercules, and Lafayette?

Whatever, I'll worry about that later. I woke up early that morning and made myself breakfast. I'm pretty sure Alex was already gone, so I wrote Eliza a note.

"Dear Eliza,

I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but I went off to join the war. I spoke it over with General Washington, and I'm sure Alexander, Lafayette, John, and Hercules will keep me safe, so no need to worry.

Sincerely (your best friend),

(Y/N)"

"Sounds good." I murmured, before blowing on the paper for a few seconds and folding it up, leaving it on the dining table.

I quickly got changed into the pants, boots, and uniform, and admired myself in the mirror.

"It's a little bit baggier than I'd like it to be, but I can work with this. I can just have Hercules fix it later." I shrugged.

I tied my hair up into a high pony tail (If you have shorter hair, again, don't worry about fixing your hair up unless you want to do something with it <3. Dis is ur story) and admired myself in the mirror once more, before heading out.

Once we saddled up, we began our journey almost right away. Everyone was given a gun, which they carried with them. It was a little heavy, but I had to get through it. I signed up for this, anyways. I made sure to keep watch of where all of my friends were, and, luckily, they were nowhere to be seen. I stayed near the back of the long line of American soldiers (And one French soldier ;))

(Another time-skip brought to you by more of my lack of updates #sorrynotsorry)

We finally reached the camp, which contained many tents that were already set up. General Washington, though, got to stay in a small cabin.

Lucky, I sighed. But, he is technically the "leader" so...

Everyone tied up their horses somewhere, so I followed their lead. Then, I'd see men walking in and out of General Washington's "office" cabin.

"Maybe that's where you check in?" I whispered to myself.

So, I walked over, avoiding the gazes of the many men who stared at me with surprise. I knocked on the door and it opened. A man stood there, and as soon as he saw me, his eyes trailed over my body, which left a horrible feeling in my stomach.

"And who might you be?" He stared into my (e/c) eyes.

"U-uh... (Y/N) H-Hamilton, s-sir." I looked down.

"Mhm. You can come in." He stepped out of the way, but even as I walked by him, I could feel his stare burning into my back.

"Ah, (Y/N)! Good to see you here." General Washington said enthusiastically.

Hmph. At least he was nice and mature.

"Thank you, sir." I smiled back at him.

"So I can check you off... And I'm guessing you'll want to be staying in the same tent as your brother?" He asked, glancing up at me.

"Y-Yes, sir."

"Alright, that tent would be to the left, three down."

"Ok, thank you, sir." I tipped my head forward before speed-walking out of the cabin.
