" The Claw is real and Grace is in danger." My hear stopped beating for a split seccond as I stared at Liam. His words echoes around in my mind at the thought of Grace being in danger. I couldn't allow this.
"That's not all. You and that child the two of you are having is also in danger." The Claw couldn't be real. It was a legend made up to scare yung pups. Wolves who killed in secret supposedly killed the heir to the throne many times for reasons unknown as well as a single she wolf once every few years. If you were a pup in the Royal Pack or related to the royal family in any way you were a target.
"You're joking right. The Claw was something an Alpha King made up years ago to keep his child under controle." I laughed out waiting for someone to jump out and say i was being punked.
"I am being seriouse. For years I have been tracking their movements trying to figgure out who would be the wolves to create the full potential that the Moon Goddess wanted because if they could create the truest of true mate bond then they would release her magic and all wolves would finally have a soul mate. They would be the true King and Queen of all wolves." I was stunned into silence. There were no soul mates. For years since the first werewolves the Goddess refused to give true mate bond to the wolves and The Run was created. Many events to find a mate was created world wide.
"That can't be. Wolves can find a mate whenever they like or take one forcibly, thats why Grace and I are changing The Run." I counter with. But his eyes remained determined. It was the same look Grace gave me when I wasn't listening to her properly or heeding her warnings. It was one I knew proved the truth they were saying.
"Then Grace and I-"
"- Are the reincarnated forms of the first wolves." Grace finishes for me. I hadn't realized she had finished in the shower, coming to stand behind her brother and giving me a small smile.
"We are the reasons why the nation of werewolves will change. That is if we can stay alive long enough and if our pup can make it to its birth." She continues with a heavy sigh. I could see the look of exhaustion on her face and wanted to make her stress melt away.
But we had more serious matters to attend to.
