Its one of the hottest days of the year and you're stuck in a police department where the air conditioning has almost miraculously broke down. You lean in your office chair sweating profusely as the hot air suffocated your lungs, officers were dismissed from wearing standard uniforms due to the chance of heatstroke so you sat there in a white button up and black jeans because the department still have some rules.

5 o'clock came around and a case came in, a murder happened just off of Jefferson Avenue and it was said that there's reason to believe that a android has done it, you quickly gather your partners in crime AKA The Drunk and The Robot AKA Hank and Connor. "I don't understand why we fuckin' have to work on a hot day like this" Hank groans as he gets into his retro car which also has broken air-conditioning, his hair was wet with sweat and was also pulled back into a very small nub of a ponytail. "Connor, what do we know about the murder so far" Hank asked as he pulled out of the departments parking.

"From the First Responders, it seems that the cause of death is by strangulation and there are no from finger prints other than the victims and her children around the house. The children have been shown signs of extreme bruising and one had been emitted into a hospital for a severe concussion" Connors eyes fluttered as he read the report. Connor on contrary of everyone else, didn't have a trace of sweat on him, though I do suppose he's still feeling the heat because instead of his usual jacket and tie, he was wearing a white t-shirt with the holographic triangle and a pair of black work pants.

"Sounds like whoever stopped killed her had a good reason" You mumble as you place your chin on the window seal, the air from outside presses against your face with force "How do we know that her kids haven't done it" Hank asked and Connor continued "While it is possible, since the eldest is fourteen; it couldn't have been him since his hands do not fit the shape of the bruising around the neck."

"Did the family have a android" You ask and Connor paused for a second "Yes, they had a MP-500, specifically designed to do basic housework and look after children."  Connor responded "And the time of death?" Hank spoke as he made a right turn "Three PM today, a call wasn't made till a hour and thirty minutes later"

A hunch came over you and you decided to act on it "Can we get a doctor in to look at the other children and we can request the hospital check the most recent bruising on these children" You ask "I'll send a report" Connor complied.

Finally reaching the house, you all stepped out of the car and headed towards the house, showing your badges you passed through the yellow tape and got into the house. It was fairly neat at first glace but soon things were out of place and scattered on the floor, you look to the right and finally laid eyes on the victim. She seemed to be in her mid thirties judging on the slightly noticeable wrinkle marks in the corners of her eyes, the bruising around her neck seemed to have come from a smaller pair of hands. You'd certainly think that they would come from a child but as Connor said, there were no matches, you continued to survey the body. Not married, sexually active guessing by the hickies on her collar bone, and a very expensive taste in style. Connor surveyed the area as if he was piecing together the scene, he bent down to the body and wiped his finger at the blood, he lifted his fingers to his mouth and licked it.

You let out a groan and turn your head to the side "I'm never going to get used to that" you groan and look around the scene "This woman seemed to have Methylone in her system" Connor said as he analyzed the blood sample "Like the bathsalts?" You tilt your head and he nods "Could that be why she was abusive and aggressive?" You question as you look at the corner of the bookshelf and see a light tint of blue liquid "That seems like its one of the side effects" Connor walk beside you "Must've happened during the struggle" You mumble and he went on to analyze it. )

"Appears to be from the model we were speaking about in the car" and you sighed "Well that's nothing new" you turned your head and Hank started up towards the both of you "Doctors said that the newest signs of bruising was no longer than a few hours ago and get this, it was around one of their necks" Hank reported and confirmed your hunch "I see, I think that the deviant saw that the child was being strangled and went on to murder the mother" you theorize and they both seemed to accept it.

"Now to find out where it went" Hank spoke and Connor looked over towards the front door "It went outside" He quickly started towards the door and the both of you and Hank started after him. He continue to follow the track and stopped in front of the shed door "Honestly, you'd think that they'd run off the property" You whisper and begin to take your gun out of your holster.

Slowly opening the doors you lift your gun to holding position as you enter, it was dark and shelves stood in the middle of the shed, filled with power tools that seemed but have been a stagnant for ages. You weave through them before you see a red light flash by your eyes and out of the shed, it pushed Hank out of the way before running through the back yard. You quickly place your gun on a shelf before pursuing it on foot, the sun beating down like it was no farther than four feet away from you. It began to push lawn chairs and tables in the way but you quickly but dangerously jumped over them.

It passed through the luxurious back yards and caused a mess in its trail. Finally catching up to it, you grab the back of its shirt and pull it towards yourself. It managed to stay on its feet, it grabbed at your shirt and yanked at it, popping the few buttons at the top before you grabbed its arm and put it behind its back. Using your foot you pressed its leg so that it gave away both of its knee joints. Continuing its struggle it grabbed at your ankle and pulled you down. You and the deviant fought on the ground, it went on before you finally got it on its stomach and both arms being its back. Sweat drops rolled down your face as you turned your head to see a bunch of officers and Connor/Hank starting towards you. "Damn, it sure put up a fight" Hank cursed and you began to get up "Yeah, damn its fast" You gulp at the air.

Connor quickly helped Hank up from the spot where he was pushed "Where'd it go" Hank asked and Connor started towards the direction "This way, I'm not sure how (Y-n) can handle the deviant so we should hurry" he quickly spoke before following the footsteps in the grass. When they finally caught up to them (Y-n) was hold the deviant to the ground, it was surprisingly calm granted the situation it was in. A officer quickly took the place of (Y-n) and they looked towards Hank and Connor. Their face glistened with sweat that slowly rolled down their chest, which was visible due to the buttons popping off, their hair was somewhat a mess. Connor felt panic rise over him and he quickly ran a test through his system to see if the heat was messing with his data base.

"Connor, are you okay? Your face is a little blue" (Y-n) questioned and he felt the error in his system again as he looked at (Y-n). "I'm- fine" Connor managed through the slight embarrassment he was feeling. This was new to him, he didn't feel like this towards (Y-n) before so why now? He looked down at their chest again and the sun had seemed to be getting hotter. He found the cause of the problem but he quickly looked away, it wasn't right to look, it wasn't right to be thinking this way. For the first time he felt something towards (Y-n), it was surly only a desire, maybe it was but he didn't want it to end.

You wipe your forehead and look down at your shirt and blush "Dang, I liked this shirt too" You sigh and hold the two parts of the shirt shut "Well if that's all then there's nothing else to do but go back" Hank grumbled and started towards the car "Yay, paperwork" you cheer sarcastically "I don't understand, people usually don't enjoy paperwork" Connor questioned and you laugh "Don't change Connor" you sigh happily as he walks beside you.

I had so much fun writing this chapter and I'm just so happy seeing people enjoy them!
