Alittle Bit Longer *Requested*

I leaned my head against the window as we drove through the snowy weather, the same crappy Christmas songs played over the radio "Oh, (Y-n) I know it must've been a pretty boring car ride but we're almost to Detroit" Mom turned around in her car seat and smiled at me, I gave her a small smile and look out the window "Don't be too upset, you'll like it in Detroit" Dad spoke up as he steered the car though the blizzard.

"Aunt May will be ecstatic to see us" Mom cheered and I let out a small laugh, screeching tires filled the air and the world started to turn, screaming filled the car and everything went dark.

I open my eyes to see broken pieces of glass laid torn and shattered on the ground,video let out a groan as I move my body. My leg was numb, I slowly started to shift my eyes to my parents. My dads side of the car was dented in and he sat there lifeless, I looked up at my mom bit she wasn't there. I let out a groan and slide out of my seatbelt before falling onto the roof of the car, I push open my door and slowly crawled out of the mangled and beaten car. I looked around the car and saw a woman laying on the ground, ten feet roughly from where the car was. I felt a hand on my shoulder but my head was pounding too much to realize that it was there until they started speaking to me "Sit down, sit down" they urged me and I slowly sunk to the ground. A siren was heard in the distance and I realized our radio was still going.

"Silver bells, silver bells, its Christmas time in the city. Ring-a-ling, hear them sing soon it'll  be Chistmas da-y"

I take a deep breath and sit up in bed, my body drenched in a cold sweat, I cried at the traumatic scene that replayed itself in my head. Connor sat up in the bed quickly turned to me and put his hands on mine "(Y-n), what's wrong" he asked and I shook my head in response unable to form any words at the moment.

~Connors perspective~

She was shaking and her heart rate had dramatically increased, she was frantic when she woke up so it must've been a night terror. I quickly grabbed her and wrapped my arms around her, slowly rocking her back and forth as if she was a small child. I slowly ran my fingers through her hair and set my chin down on her head, her crying seemed to seize but her breathing was still rapid. Maybe I could sing to her, its been the third time this month that she woke up in this state, how it pains me to see her like this. Deciding on the song, I opened my mouth and sung in the softest voice I could manage.

Connors comforting has been a giant help to sooth me but the memory played over and over again, bringing me back in that moment.

"Hold on just a little bit longer" Connor softly sung and I listened, entranced by the sound of his smooth voice.

"Everything will be alright" Connor assured, running his fingers through my hair as I felt the rumbling of his vocal cords against his chin. I came back down to earth and slid my fingers through his to hold onto something "Where'd you hear that song?" I ask as I give a small sniffle.

"From a friend, not too long ago" I couldn't see him but I knew he was smiling from the memory "It's nice, I'd like to hear it from you more sometime" I give a sad grin before burying my fave in his chest "Stupid brain, giving me stupid memories" I sigh and begin to lean back onto the mattress with Connor.

"We can schedule a therapist if it appeals to you" Connor suggested and I let out a chuckle "And give up your hugs? I could never" You wrap your arms around him and close your heavy eyes "You're stubborn" Connor pointed out and I laugh "Maybe but I'm alright, I just gotta learn how to let go of the past" I sigh and Connor chuckled "Sometimes that's for the best"

A little shorty chapter for you all, I loved the plot for this but I have a feeling I didn't execute it well-
