walking past his house every single day. that's the thing that you missed. knocking on his door, wrapping your arms around his neck as you smiled into his shoulder.

grayson had been your best friend since you were toddlers and you had to move to charlotte because your family wanted to move back to north carolina.

you missed him to death. he was your best friend, your rock, your other half, and without him, you just weren't yourself. you never really could imagine yourself without him.

you swing your legs over the ledge of your bed as the doorbell rings annoyingly downstairs, followed by a continuous series of knocks on the oak door. you hop downstairs and drag yourself to the door.

"where do i have to sign?", you ask bored, expecting it to be another mover. your head tilts up and you see a smile spread across your favorite persons face. he lifted up his suitcase.

"guess who just moved to n.c.?"
