just words,

but they hold so much power.

like a screaming wind,

enough force to make a mountain cower.


simple blottings of ink,

a slur of speech.

but enough to make a dynasty fall,

or a nonbeliever preach.


just words,

but they hold so much emotion.

like the howling of wolves,

enough sound to drown out an ocean.


so call them words,

but I have named them weapons.

when even the smallest sparrow,

can muster a shrill cry will always deafen.
