pull the fire from the sky,

and raise my soul from the dead.

ignite my body in the flames,

and burn away every curse I ever said.

lead me closer to the heat,

all the bridges I built have been burned.

warm my soul with dying ashes,

for every sin that I never managed to learn.

paint my skin with sizzling embers,

a bright red if you'll please.

prometheus, won't you show me the light,

and make the numbing pain cease.

pull the fire from the sky,

and bring my blackened heart back to life.

bind my arms to the cross of flames,

and in my millions of sins, let my soul ignite.
