Mackenzie's POV

"Bye mom. Bye Maddie. Bye Jack." I said while giving them all hugs.

"You sure you don't want help?" my mom said curiosity rising in her voice.

"Yes."

"Okay." I could hear her choke back tears.

I strategically placed all my bags and boxes in the trunk of my blue 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. (A/N this is the kind of car I want.) I jumped in and started to pull out of the driveway while my mom, Maddie, and Jack all waved at me goodbye. My mom started tearing up. I mean I am her first baby to leave home. Maddie could've left but mom would've had to watch her kids when she has them because she's pregnant so there is no point. I found the house I was renting and went inside. I assumed the people I rented this house from hadn't left yet because there was a truck in the driveway. I walked into the house and to my surprise I saw...

"LOLO"

"KENZIEBOO"

We ran up to each other and she jumped in my arms. I haven't seen her in years.

"I've missed you."

"I've missed you too" she exclaimed while we pulled out of our hug.

My eyes searched around the room until they locked with Johnny's. I missed him too so I ran up to him and gave him a hug.

"Long time no see Vincent"

"Hey Mack Z"

These were our nicknames for each other when we were friends. I hated to be called Mack Z and he hated to be called Vincent. To piss each other off we would call each other that and then it kind of became our thing. We weren't the best of friends, but we still hung out and pranked each other all the time. Once we ended our hug we addressed the elephant in the room.

"So, why are you guys here?"

"Well, we rented this house and the renters left us a note that said we would be sharing the house with a girl and that's it." Johnny handed me the note.

I read it over.

"Oh, okay."

"At least it's you and not some stranger I would've had to become friends with." Lauren replied with a sigh of relief.

"Yeah because we all know how that would go." Johnny joked.

Him and I chuckled while Lauren rolled her eyes.

"Come on I'll show you your room. We picked out ours already. You and I will be on one end of the hall while Johnny and Carson will be on the other end." Lauren instructed as I followed her up the stairs like a baby duck following its mother.

"Wait, Carson Lueders?"

"Ya, Johnny asked him to stay with us because Carson was trying to find a house too and this one is so big."

"Oh I haven't seen him in a while so this will be fun."

"Ya maybe we can get our old group back together!"
