Damien
In the evening after Harvey is done with work for his client. We stay and play with Ashton who is so cute and I've come to love the little sweet heart.
I hand him over to a nanny since we are all going out to dinner tonight.
My mother and grandmother already confirmed they'd be coming.
I quickly dress up and wait for Harvey to finish dressing so we can go. Our table was reserved for 8pm. Harvey comes out of the bathroom and I whistle out loud.
"Is that you Harvey Andrate? You look dashing!" I exclaim.
"Damien Andrate! Why are you always teasing me and making me blush and stuff" he says playfully hitting me.
"Ouch!" I exaggerate running around.
"We really have a cool last name, Andrate Solte " Harvey says holding me around the waist
"Yeah, should I add Klein to my name?" I ask... Harvey's last name was Klein.
"If you want to" he says focussing on my lips. I just pull him in for the kiss as he laughs breathlessly.
"Let's stay here forever" I groan when he pulls away
"Let's go already" he laughs picking up his phone and pocketing it.
He really looks good with his new haircut that makes him look hot but Also cute and badass.
We get out of our room and go downstairs, Antonio is already there and the only person we are waiting for is Andrea.
A sweet smelling perfume wafts up to us and we can't ignore it, we all look up towards the vision of beauty floating down the stairs.
Dressed in a black short sleeved see through lace top and skirt with a belt that clinches in and emphasizes her tiny waist, huge flare of hips and ample breasts, plus her generous behind. She has piled the hair atop of her head with curls framing her face. A deep shade of lipstick adorning her lips.
"Holy..!!! Andrea? Are you trying to kill us?" Antonio says going to the bottom of the stairs to receive her and take her hand
"Nonsense, this is nothing" she says sashaying to the foyer
"You look stunning" I tell her as she smiles and takes a bow her skirt riding up and exposing her long glorious legs.
Harvey looks up at me and I flash him a smile.
We get out and head to the range rover big enough for all of us.
I get behind the wheel and I expect Harvey in the seat next to me but I see Andrea hopping in instead. I raise questioning eyebrows at her and she says,
"Oh Damien, how have you forgotten that I have a phobia for backseats next to the window.
I remember now, when she was in her teens,she was involved in an accident.
" Sorry Andrea, I forgot " I say as Harvey gets in the back seat with Antonio.
I pull out of the driveway and head out to the gate. Luckily, the restaurant is not that far.
We arrive to a crush of reporters and paparazzi outside the popular restaurant. I immediately regret not bringing security.
We rush past them but Andrea seems to be enjoying it as she answers a few questions, so we get in before. She arrives immediately on our heels.
"Oh, the media! You know how they are!" She says
We are escorted to our seats by a waiter and we decide to wait for my mother and grandma before we order.
They arrive a few minutes later and my grandma is dressed elegantly as usual her hair in a bun and my mother with loosely flowing hair.
She hurries to hug Andrea happily and says to her,
"Andrea darling, we missed you" she says. They were pretty close.
My grandma hugs Harvey first, me then Antonio. She then hugs Andrea and sits down. My mother frowns at the seat next to Antonio and moves to seat elsewhere. I roll my eyes at her drama. She has to get used to the fact that Antonio is part if the family whether she likes it or not.
We signal the waiter for the menu and place our orders. As we wait for our food.
"Harvey, how have you been?" Grandma asks
"Very good" he tells her smiling
"Of course, what with living with my rich son" My mother comments
Everyone ignores her comment and she goes on undefeated.
"Oh Andrea,I can't believe I missed you being a part of this family, you and Damien would be perfect for each other" she says
"Well, clearly, Damien made his choice" Andrea says
Antonio seats back enjoying the drama playing out.
"A drunken one, if he had sense to see what is right before his very eyes!" My mother says
The waiter brings our food and people dig in. Am silently fuming over her comments and Harvey puts his hand on my thigh noticing am upset. I calm down a little and squeeze back his hand on my thigh quietly tracing his wedding band
"What do you mean a drunken one?" Grandmother asks as Harvey and I look at each other wide eyed and look at her terrified. No one deems to respond till Antonio says,
"I'll tell you grandma, Damien and Harvey lied to you !" He says
Curse him and his trouble making days I think furiously glaring at him.
"What? They lied?" She asks
"Grandma...." I try to say
She shakes her head and puts a hand up to quell my protest.
"The truth now!" She says
"Harvey and I got drunk and ended up married in Vegas. We are on a trial marriage ordered by the judge right now but we now understand each other. I have deep feelings for Harvey and I want this marriage to work" I say pleadingly
"Finally! We don't have to lie anymore, surely you can't be in favor of this union?" My mother puts the question to my grandma
We all turn to look at her to know her reaction but to everyone's shock, she bursts out laughing! I just can't seem to get it. What is happening?
"I knew all along" she confesses sipping her wine
"You can't be serious grandma" I exclaim
"I am serious, I knew all about it, asking you to take me where you met and the wedding photos was just a little payback for not telling me the truth" she says
"Wooow!" Harvey says
"And you Sophia, when you married into the Andrate family, we welcomed you with open arms. Why are you trying to make your son-in-laws life a living hell? Stop being bitter and get over it. Your husband cheated but he died years ago, let it be!" Grandma says
"I hope you make your marriage work" she says to me and Harvey as we hold hands
"And quit your immature ways Antonio, a man with a flare for drama like a woman!" She says disapproving to him as he looks down
After her pronouncement,every one finishes dinner quietly and then we leave the restaurant.
Back at home, I hug Harvey happily and we go check on Ashton who is already asleep. As we head to our room holding our hands, and i grab Harvey and lean down to kiss him but I hear footsteps approaching,
Andrea comes out of her room heading towards us
"Damien, come watch a movie with me" she says
" I want to discuss something with Harvey" I tell her
"But its our favorite movie, come on, lets go watch" she insists
"Am going to sleep, go on" Harvey says entering our bedroom
I go and watch the movie with her but by the time I return to our room, Harvey is fast asleep. I slide into bed next to him and hold him while he sleeps.
