At least I tried

At least I tried-

I know I gave up,

I gave up trying,

Trying to be perfect,

Trying to act like I was okay,

Trying to keep it all in,

Trying to get better,

But no matter how hard you try,

Nothing is going to change the way you already are,

I know some people might say I'm weak that I didn't try at all,

But they don't know how hard it was,

How much I hated myself,

How much I wanted to die,

They don't know how much I tried

Someone people won't even try,

They just give up,

And let it go,

But it's harder if you're so hurt,

That you can't even tell yourself you're okay anymore,

So you have to try,

Because you still have hope that you can get better,

But some people try so hard that they can't do it anymore,

They can't deal with it anymore,

All the sorrow,

All the pain,

They want it to go away,

So they end it,

They stop trying,

And then people tell them their weak,

That they could of gotten help,

But At least they tried,

I'm tired of it,

The pain,

The sorrow,

It's too much,

So go ahead and say I'm weak,

That I have no hope,

But at least I tried.
