The Way I Used To Be

I remember how I used to walk these halls with pride,

I remember how I would wear whatever I wanted because I didn't care what they thought,

I didn't care if I was a little too overweight, or if my stomach was showing in a shirt that was maybe a little too tight on me.

I did not care about my bright childish shoes and my childish hairstyles that were out of this world.

I once used to be profound of my looks,

I used to admire myself in the mirror and say to myself: "You look beautiful, everyone's gonna love you."

But I was wrong so wrong.

You don't know how brutal people can be,

How one word they say could tear apart you're whole world.

I noticed I have 99 views on this! Wow! That may not seem like a lot, but to me that's everything, I don't get a lot of views on things I write, that's because I don't get noticed as a writer as much as I want to, but this reassures me that people actually read my stories, I am so grateful for everyone who reads this! I hope y'all enjoy these poems! <3
