Val's Pov
Two days after the Bulldog's arrest
I saw Cheryl with Toni this morning. The happy couple were chatting about something I didn't care about. I walked up to Toni.
"Oh, hi." Toni said as she realized I was standing in front of her.
"Hey." I spat, crossing my arms. "You know, you should be careful around this girl over here." I said, pointing to Cheryl. Toni stood up to face me and also crossed her arms. "Oh yeah? Why?" She asked me, scowling.
"She used to have an innocent little crush on my girl, Josie. Then it started to turn not-so-innocent. She'd draw pictures of the two of them when they hung out. She'd secretly gift her things signed secret admirer. It was kind of cute. For a little while. One day, Josie was about to practice a song she was working on and she noticed a gift. From your girlfriend, Cheryl. She opened the box and it was a bloody pig's heart with a note that said 'If I can't have you, no one can.' Your girlfriend is insane!" I finished my rant and walked briskly away from the two, satisfied that I finally told her.
Toni's Pov
It took me a while to absorb all of what Valerie had just told me. I stared at the ground.
"Toni..?" I heard Cheryl ask. "Are you okay?" She asked softly.
"No!" I exploded. "First I think you're some innocent person that I'm dating and now I find out that you sent someone a death threat?! Stay away from me, you psychopath! We are over!" I screamed. Then I ran away from her like she just murdered my mother.
Later
At Toni's Uncle's trailer
I just broke up with my girlfriend. I thought to myself as I stared at the wall, sitting on my bed in my bedroom.
Suddenly, there was a knock at my door. "It's open." I called. My uncle opened the door. "Hey. Dinner's ready." He told me. I'm so lucky to have him as a family member. The only one that's not dead or hates me. I thought to myself once more. I went out of my room and ate my dinner.
Cheryl's Pov
What are you doing? Turn around and go back home. I mentally told myself as I walked up the all too familiar driveway of a very old friend. Too late. I already knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal a blond girl with a warm smile and kind eyes that lit up when she saw me. "Cher-Bear!" She exclaimed, calling me my middle school nickname that she called me. I giggled a bit. "Heather." I greeted.
She hugged me. "What are you doing here?" She asked. I bit my lip and smiled shyly. "Heather... do you want to go out with me?"
