It was only seven in the morning but Ryder had already left on Pack business.

Either there was a miscommunication or they seemed to trust me enough not to leave a guard today.

Pulling on my leather jacket I suddenly thought of Kylie. I hadn't seen her since the attack.

I quickly grabbed my phone and moved to the front door when I heard shouting.

"Let me through!" the voice demanded. Kylie?

"No." A rougher one spoke agitated.

"Go home Omega." his companion growled.

My grip on the door knob tightened. "I want to see Red." She growled back.

The men growled loudly at her. "You will address the Luna with respect." he warned.

Unable to take it anymore, I pulled the door open. All five men whipped around to see me. One man had his hand raised in the air.

Kylie smirked at the look I had no doubt was terrifying them all. With out a word or expression I walked past them all to stand beside Kylie as she turned to leave as well.

When I stopped I didn't bother to look at them. "If I EVER see you raise your hand to a member of this pack with ill intentions, you will have me to deal with." I paused to let the extent of my promise sink in. "Do I make myself clear?" My voice was calm but firm.

I heard several 'Yes Luna's. Hating to seem cold I turned to them and gave a small smile. "Thank you boys, and please call me Red." I told them honestly.

The men looking as scolded children smiled up at me and nodded before I left with Kylie.

It wasn't until we arrived at the lake that either of us spoke. "You handled that really well." Kylie admitted somewhat surprised.

We sat down on the shore together and I sighed. "I'm surprised too. Wanting people to like me is definitely a new and unnerving feeling." there was dead silence a moment before we burst out laughing.

Kylie shook her head. "That's why I gave up on it years ago." she admitted.

"I'm sorry I haven't made it by yet." Guilt began to swell within me. I'd been so worried about Ryder.

Her shoulder bumped mine playfully and I looked over at her. "Hey it's alright. If I had a mate or someone I love in that situation, I'd have been the same way."

Next thing I knew she shoved my shoulder with surprising force. "And why didn't you tell me you were the new Luna?" she demanded playfully and slightly annoyed.

Sitting back up I laughed. "Does it matter?" her head shook and we laughed. As much as I hated to bring it back up I had to know. "What happened back there does it happen. . ." I trailed off trying to think of the right wording.

"Often?" She offered before shaking her head. "No not really I keep to myself mostly. They just wouldn't let me see you the last few days. Every time I tried, pack members would stop me." her voice dropped to barely a whisper and I knew she was embarrassed about it.

Grinning I jumped to my feet and grabbed her arm pulling her up with me. "To hell with that." I declared leading her back into the woods.

"Where are we going?" she wondered as I hooked my arm through hers.

I grinned over at her misciviosly. "To set the record straight." I declared and she muffled a laugh.

"I think I'm going to enjoy this." she muttered under her breath.
