Jay's POV
We stood high up in the trees. We'd just seen everything. Red's fight. Her and Ryder's reunion. What had separated them, I didn't know.
Now the party was walking in side. I glanced over at Carter to see just how sour his mood was. I'm not saying he was grumpy, but I've seen kids whose puppy had been hit by a car happier than him. "Come on guys. Let's get out of here before it kills Carter." They all nodding agreement and we pulled him with us, running through the trees.
Carter still loved her. We all do, but not the way he does. That's why we faked his death. She'd tell us to go and she'd stop following our movements. We'd been accidentally tipped off by the guys sent to help us take care of the rouges. The council has been watching Red. They know she's in town, keeping around this area, but there's no way they know she's a Luna.
For now we just want her to be happy. She had to be happy.
Red taught us to protect ourselves and protected us. Now we're trying to protect her. Sooner or later they are going to come for her. The last of their precious Thornblakes.

This is however the completion of the first book 'Red'. This also means I will be starting the sequal 'Thornblakes'. This will most likely be a trillogy, but I leave myself the right to change that decision.
