The next day as usual, Ji hoon was waiting for Jamie near the apartment gate and they then walked to school in silence. When they finally reached the school gate, Ji hoon turned to Jamie,
"Come to the roof today. We'll discuss about the trip"

"Okay"

After dropping Jamie off to his seat, Ji hoon left for his own classroom. As usual Jamie turned towards Kaito's seat and was a bit surprised to see the nerd absent.

'I wonder why he's absent' Jamie thought silently while glancing towards the direction of Kaito's empty seat.

During recess Jamie went to the roof, feeling a tad bit disappointed that he was missing out on his playtime with Haru. Letting out a heavy sigh, Jamie walked up the stairs and opened the door to the roof to find Ji hoon sitting in his usual place.

Jamie walked up to Ji hoon and sat down beside him.
"You know, i've always wondered, don't you feel bored out here? I mean all alone, always by yourself?"

Ji hoon turned to look at Jamie and replied in a casual tone,
"Well, You're here now so i am not alone anymore"

Jamie couldn't help but roll his eyes at Ji hoon's response.
"I am being serious here you know. I honestly wanna know what you do out here alone, all the time. Because to me it seems like a really boring and lonely place"

"I am serious too. But you're right, being alone all the time can get a bit lonely"

Jamie couldn't help but feel a bit sad after hearing Ji hoon's answer. Somehow this guy always  seemed so lonely and alone.

"I....uhh...you know...you can call me if you feel too lonely. Or we can just go somewhere together. You....don't always have to stay alone or be in the same place"

'Ji hoon....he had a rough childhood' Jamie couldn't help but remember Marcus's words. Seeing Ji hoon's lonely figure somehow reminded Jamie of his past self. He might not have been a loner like Ji hoon but he too was always alone.

The only difference was, he tried to fill the hole in his heart by surrounding himself with people while Ji hoon just preferred staying alone.

Ji hoon turned to Jamie, his lips slowly curling up into a smirk.
"Guess your mouth isn't so foul after all"

"And...the annoying guy is back" Jamie said loudly, rolling his eyes at Ji hoon.
'So much for worrying about him'

They continued talking for a while, the sound of Jamie's loud voice ringing out on the roof from time to time.

After talking some more, Ji hoon changed the topic and asked Jamie about his grandparents. Jamie who had been so active, immediately went quiet. After pausing for a few seconds, he answered reluctantly,
"They uhh....they live in another city"

Sensing Jamie's uneasiness, Ji hoon dropped the topic,
"Its okay, you don't have to tell me"

"Its....uhh..a bit complicated at the moment" Jamie mumbled quietly.

"Its fine" Ji hoon replied in a gentle tone.

"Oh i should probably inform Marcus and Zhang about our plan" Jamie said as he took out his phone from his front pocket.

"I already informed them"

"What? When?" Jamie asked, a bit surprised.

"Yesterday"
