"He wants us to pick something up for him in Canada." Cassandra said, leaning on Beth's kitchen counter.
"What?" Annie asked.
"I thought we were done with this." Ruby said.
"He says it's better if we don't know." Cassandra muttered.
"Mmm." Annie hummed. "Mmm-hmm." Ruby and Beth looked at her confused. "I mean, come on." She laughed. The two older woman still looked confused. "Oh, guys, seriously?"
"Just say it." Beth said.
"Drugs." Annie started. "Up our asses." Cassandra rolled her eyes.
"What?" Ruby asked.
"Oh, yeah." Annie explained. "Otherwise you gotta swallow the baggie, which frankly seems even more uncomfortable. You know, I'd almost rather shove—"
"No, nuh-uh." Ruby muttered. "That's not gonna happen."
"Oh, you'd rather just declare a kilo at customs?" Annie asked.
"I don't wanna smuggle drugs at all." Ruby said.
"Don't say "kilo." Beth said to her sister.
"Okay, when are we supposed to do this?" The blonde asked Cassandra.
"Friday." The shorter girl muttered.
"Well, I can't Friday." Annie said. "I have a home visit for my custody case."
"So you're gonna tell the man with the crying skull tattoo that Friday doesn't work for you?" Ruby said sarcastically.
"Fine, but we have to be back in time for me to clean up and get all the drugs out of my cavities." Annie said.
"He didn't say it was drugs." Cassandra muttered to herself, taking a sip of her tea. "It could be something else, okay?" She said hopefully. "Like what?" Annie asked.
"Guns?" Beth guessed.
"How is that better?" Ruby questioned.
"Can't fit up your ass." Cassandra stated.
Suddenly Emma appeared in the hallway. "Mama? I had a nightmare." She said cutely.
"Same." Ruby muttered.
"I'm sorry, bubba." Beth cooed. "I'll come rub your back, okay?" Emma nodded.
"You guys, he said if we do this, he'll forget about the money." Beth said. "And we're done. It's over."
"What if we don't?" Ruby asked.
"That didn't seem like an option." Cassandra muttered.
"Come on, sweetie." Beth said leading her daughter upstairs. "Let's go to bed."
"You ever seen Locked Up Abroad?" Annie asked Ruby.
"No."
"Good."
