 Liam stood in front of the fence that trapped him, Veronica, Hayden, and Zach in the secluded area that Veronica had told him to smelt like a basement. He slowly moved his index finger closer to the metal fence. When he finally touched it, Liam groaned in pain as he retracted his finger back away from the fence.

  Zach laughed at Liam, causing Veronica to roll her eyes at him, "We're not getting out of here." Zach told the group.

"You could be a little optimistic," Hayden argued with him, glaring at him.

 Liam took a seat in between both girls, still feeling a bit weak from touching the electric fence so many times, "It's kind of hard when you watch three people get dragged out of here screaming." Zach replied to her argument.

"What happened to them?" Liam asked him curiously.

"They were failures," Zach informed him, "That's all they said. First, you forget. You don't know who you are or what you're doing.  Then you get violent. I watched two of them almost kill each other. one of them had a nasty looking cut just like those," Liam turned his head to see Zach was gesturing at both Hayden and Veronica.

 Liam's eyes widened in shock when he saw Veronica's wound. He hadn't seen it before because Veronica had been covering it since they had woken up from their slumber, not wanting them to know. Veronica noticed Liam looking down at it and quickly pulled her shirt back down. 

"Don't worry. Black is okay," Zach assured them, "It's only really over when you start bleeding other stuff. When it starts turning silver..."

"Mercury," Liam replied, knowing what Zach was talking about. 

"That's when they know you're really a failure."  Zach continued on with a depressed look on his face.

"How many more failures are there supposed to be?" Veronica asked him, wondering if she herself was going to be one of those failures.

"Who knows?" Zach told her with a bit of attitude, "But doesn't make you wonder what the success is going to look like. I mean, what are we turning into? Something with claws and fangs?"

"Something with wings?" Liam added in.

"Something worse," Hayden admitted quietly.

"Way worse." Veronica sighed.

 Later on, Liam sat on the ground with Hayden and Veronica, their backs against the wall. Hayden had her head rested on Liam's shoulder when they suddenly saw flashes of light moving closer to them. The whole group looked up and Veronica turned her head to see Zach seemed extremely worried, "They're coming." Zach announced to them.

Veronica gave Zach a concerned look when she saw mercury dripping down from his nose. Zach noticed it too and quickly wiped it with his finger. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the metallic liquid on his index finger, "Oh, God!" He gasped as he looked up to see the three Dread Doctors coming their way, "No, no, no, no."

  Zach began to slide backward, "Leave him alone!" Liam demanded as he went to help Zach. Liam was about to get up, but Veronica quickly grabbed him by the arm and pulled him back down. Liam turned and frowned at her, but Veronica just shook her head, telling him not to bother saving the boy who was clearly already dying.

"Stop it! Stop it!" Hayden shouted out in a pleading tone.

"No, no! Stop!" Zach screamed out as the Dread Doctors began to drag him away, "Help me! Help me! No! No! Wait!"

Liam turned to Veronica and gave her a look of disbelief, "Why did you stop me from helping him?" He asked her shocked.

"Because," She began to answer, wincing in pain as she accidentally touched her wound that still seemed to not have fully healed yet, "They would've killed you if you tried to stop them. I couldn't let that happen."

 Veronica, Hayden, and Liam were still sitting beside each other when they suddenly heard electricity buzzing, "They're coming back," Liam informed the two girls.

  Liam got up before he helped Hayden get to her feet. He turned to Veronica, about to help her up also, "I'm fine right here." She told them and Liam frowned, "I just need a little bit more time to heal. When the Dread Doctors come. Be ready to fight. Don't hesitate."

 Liam nodded at her request as he intertwined hands with Hayden. Veronica frowned when she turned her head to see Theo running toward where the three teenagers resided, "Veronica? Liam? Hayden?" Theo called out to them.

 Theo was about to touch the electric fence, causing Veronica's eyes to widen, "Theo, wait! Don't!" She warned him, but it was too late.

 Theo let out a grunt as the electricity flowed through him. He jolted backward, landing on the ground. Theo was out for a few moments as the three of them watched him in concerned, "Theo? Theo?" Liam called out to him, "Theo, you all right?"

"Yeah," Theo groaned as he shut his eyes for a moment as he still felt the pain the electricity caused him. He began to get up, "Yeah, I'm fine." He assured them.

"You think you can get us some help?" Veronica asked him concerned.

 Theo looked down at her sitting on the ground, looking weak. He frowned a bit at this before shaking it off, "I am the help." He replied.

Veronica rolled her eyes, "Great, then that means we're screwed."

 Theo walked forward and Liam immediately backed up, going back to his spot next to Hayden. Theo placed his hands on the electric fence, his body beginning to get electrocuted. It didn't stop him though, he kept holding onto the fence as he began to pull it open. His fangs were out and his eyes glowed yellow as he did so.

Theo roared out as he finally opened it, Veronica's eyes widening in shock as she watched the scene unfold. Theo walked into the area that the three teenagers remained in, "Well, are you guys coming?" He asked them confused.

    Liam sighed as he glanced down at Veronica, who still seemed to be in pain, "She needs help. She's not healing at all." Liam informed Theo, who looked at him a bit shocked.

  Theo nodded, walking over to Veronica. He quickly picked her up, holding her bridal's style. Veronica placed her arms around his neck as Theo led the teens back outside and over to his truck.

AN: If it hasn't been shown by now, the Dread Doctors are doing something to Veronica to make her more than just a werewolf, but also a Chimera. I'm still trying to figure what to make her exactly. Any of you got any ideas?
