Accidental

Chapter 8

Elvin's POV

We were filming a car scene where my co star's car was supposed to crash into us. I, or rather the stunt man will swerve and manage to brush past them. That car was my character, Wei Jun's father's man's car. Complicated huh? Cos Wei Jun's dad wanted to leave Yang Min (Rui En's character) and resorted to all these underhand methods

But an accident happened and both cars crashed. I suffered a cut on my forehead and a bruise on my cheek but nothing serious. But the stunt man was trapped beneath the car so I scrambled out of the car and attempted to help him out.

Rui En's POV

The accident scene was on a deserted road that was quite far from my shoot location. It was either a 5mins car ride or a 15mins run. So I ran. My lungs ached from running too fast, my legs blistering as I ran in my flats. Partly because my heels already killed it yesterday. But I didn't care. I only stopped when I was nearing the scene and remembered to breathe. He lay there, motionless, beneath the car. Blood. RED BLOOD, HIS BLOOD. My hand ran over my mouth and I rushed to the nearest bush and retched, emptying its contents. My knees went weak and before I knew it, the world went black. I could only remember a strong pair of arms grabbing onto me and breaking my fall...

Elvin's POV

I, together with the few other crew managed to pull the man out in no time and sent him to the hospital. I saw her, admist the bushes. Is she unwell? I thought and was making my way to her when her knees buckled. My feet propelled themselves and luckily I caught her in time, breaking her fall. Her face looked as white as sheet. I gently shook her arms "Rui En, Rui En... Are you okay?" But to no response. We immediately sent her along to the hospital in another amulance

The drive to the hospital was horrible. I didn't know what had happened to her and I was afraid she wouldn't wake up again. "Don't leave me, I cannot do without you." I choked out. My tears blurring my vision as I sped my way there. I was glad we weren't back in Singapore yet or I was sure to get a ticket for speeding. I rushed to the A&E after hopping out of my car to find out how she was doing. Her PA was there as well. We waited for the doctor to inform us of the diagnosis.

After what seemed like an eternity, the doctor emerged from the room "The patient is over exhausted and experienced shock. I put her on a drip and she'll wake up in a while." "Thank you doctor" Rui En's PA replied. "Elvin, look after her for me okay? I am going to settle her filming schedules and stuffs after all that has happened." She said, hastily rushing off.

I pushed open the ward and stepped inside. It smell like antiseptic and I hate it. I scrunched up my nose at the smell. I bearing it. Anything for her. I sat on the plastic chair beside her. Clasping my hand with hers, I placed it onto my cheek carassing it. After what seems like hours, I felt her shift beside me. "How are you feeling?" I released her hand and moved to sitting on the bed, though it is pretty much unallowed. Before I could finish my sentence, she hugged me and burst into tears "You are okay, you are okay...I thought you were dead, you lay beneath the car. There was blood so much blood... " She said, crying. She then released her grip, examining my face. Her fingers tracing over my cut and that blueblack. I flinched at the touch. "Painful?" She asked in concern "Remember to ice it..."

The moment did not last and she tried to mask her concern by saying "I need to rest now. Can you get out?" Finally I couldn't suppress it in me any longer, I made her face me and said "Stop hurting yourself, you have obviously fallen in love with me. What's bothering you, what's stopping you? Tell me, so I can shoulder this with you..." I realised she was shaking and I pulled her close to me, wrapping my arms around her and she let me.

Finally her sobs subsided and she turned to look at me in the eye and finally told me the reason. Lastly, she took a deep breath and told me "Elvin, lets do this. Lets make us happen. I don't want to regret. So... Chase me. Make me yours." I smiled as if I won the Oscars. Nothing could wipe that grin from my face all day. Because when I have her, it was as if I own the whole world.

I leaned close. Brushing her hair away from the most beautiful eyes, I kissed her on the lips. She parted them, letting me go deeper. I kissed her hard, wanting her more than anything. A small moan escaped from her lips and we kissed passionately until we were out of breath.

"That was so good." She smiled and hugged me tight, though her face still revealed some weariness.

"Get some rest. Your PA just texted that they have cancelled your scenes and they are reshooting some scenes of mine so that they can tweak th plot a little. I'll be back later." I said, getting up to leave. She pulled at my hand, begging me not to go. No matter how much I wanted to be accompanying her, work still had to be done "See you later okay?" pecking her cheeks and tucking her into bed

Rui En's POV

After he left, I began to feel uncomfortable. I felt hot and I kept tossing and turning beneath the sheets. My stomach turned and recoiled, bile rising up to my throat. My hands immediately flew to my mouth and I rushed into the toilet. However, there was nothing left in my stomach and I dry heaved. I felt so terrible that I wished he stayed... My head started throbbing and I felt feverish. I returned back to the hospital bed and fell asleep.

Elvin's POV

I was worried leaving her alone but I didn't really have a choice. Every minute away from her felt like hours. It didn't take too long to finish the scenes as I took one shot, perfecting them so I could be with my girl. Then, I was flying, flying back to the hospital ward. She was asleep, her blankets pulled so close to her, wrapping her like a ball. I stroked her cheek, immediately feeling that it was hot. I called for the nurse who gave her a jab and prepared a wet towel to leave on her head like what she did for me previously.

I was tired and exhausted and I had no idea when I fell asleep... I felt someone tickling my nose. I looked up and my girl was awake. "Feeling better?" I asked, moving onto the bed to sit closer to her. "Your fever has gone down." I smiled, feeling her forehead. "But you still look pale" I frowned.

She leaned her head against my chest and told me "After you were gone, I felt so sick. Stay with me tonight, don't go away please..." Her voice cracking and my heartached at the thought of not being with her when she needed me most. "I am not leaving." I told her firmly. She snuggled against my chest and fell fast asleep. I stroke her long hair, knowing that I am the luckiest man in this world.
