True to his word, Thomas approached Newt the next day trying to apologize.
Newt walked away.
The day continued as thus. All through classes and between. Thomas tried to no avail to capture Newt's attention but continuously failed as the latter made it his core goal to ignore him.
Newt simply wasn't ready to talk to Thomas. His mind buzzed groggily throughout the day; he hadn't gotten much sleep the night before. That along with Thomas's attempts of conversation had him rankled all day. The more annoyed he got, the more averse he was to reconciling with his boyfriend. Thomas had messed up.
And Newt wasn't ready to forgive him just yet.
