"When we get to Nana's, what are we gonna do?"

Anna distracted me from my thoughts as she got comfortable in my lap.

"Ummmm... I don't know. What you wanna do?"

"Swim!" She replied enthusiastically.

"Yeah, me too." Rose added from the seat next to me.

"Maybe we can make that happen."

Lashontae sat a few feet away with TJ wrapped in a blanket as we flew to Virginia.

As I watched them cuddled up watching a movie, my brain went back to those flowers that were delivered to her this morning.

"Baby doll?" I said softly.

"Yes daddy?"

"You'd tell me if Mommy had a boyfriend, right?"

She giggled as she discreetly checked to see if her mother was paying attention.

"Yes, but she doesn't." She whispered.

"Are you sure?"

"Uh huh. Want me to go ask her?"

Instantly, she jumped off my lap eager to go bug her mother.

I smiled and tickled her making her squeal.

"Nope. Our secret." I whispered, "say it's our secret."

"It's our secret!" She whispered loudly.

An hour later...

"What's up Mumma?" I yelled walking in her kitchen where it looked like she was preparing snacks for the kids.

She looked up and smiled before running towards me.

"Hey my baby. I missed you!"

"I missed you more."

I pulled out of her embrace and gave her jaw a big kiss.

"I brought some people to see you." I replied pulling her by the hand to the living room.

"Ooh Nana's stinker butts!" She exclaimed giddily as she walked faster.

I laughed at how excited she was.

Her grand babies were the light of her world and I was grateful to have her so hands on with them.

"Nana!"

All three of them screamed and hauled ass running in her arms.

"Hey my babies," She yelled hugging the life out of them. "Y'all made it to see me!"

"Yeah, we did," Anna excitedly told her, "Can we go swimming?"

"Of course baby, we can go swimming," She responded with a laugh before turning to me, "how long are yall here?"
