my moon

The pain of my heart ache was worse than any before,
I kneeled in front of a statue I had abandoned years ago
Offer the tattered courage of my will
Begging for my newest loss not to be real
Asking for forgiveness from a man I still believe a myth
Yet I trust the sanity of my vessel
The very thing that caused my darling to be lost
I blame the world and the life I'm forced to live
I am always tying up and then deciding to depart
But I remember my little moon
And my shameful secret that cost me my darling
Maybe I could have saved them
I am beyond the point of feeling selfish
My love would have had a hard life
Yet I want nothing more to have her back
She was my darling
She was my heart
She was part of me
She was part of him
She was part of us
just like us
She fell apart at the seems
Just like us
She barely made it past a month
Just like us
Shes a secret part of our shameful history
