James's POV:
I wake up in a comfortable, red-blanketed bed. A single one, which isn't what I am
used to. Light streamed in through the windows, and as I sat up, I noticed that Sirius, Remus and Peter were occupying the other three beds in the large room. I had forgotten, in my sleepy state, where I was: Hogwarts! I got out the timetable I was given yesterday and scanned it. It read

I couldn't help but groan slightly. It was going to be a LONG day...

Third Person POV:
Little did he know, a girl with long red hair and green eyes was thinking the exact same thing... But with a more enthusiastic attitude of course. She got out of her bed, eyes gleaming with unfamiliar mischief as she grabbed her feather-stuffed pillow.
"Good moorrnningg!" She sang loudly, thwacking her each of her roommates in turn with her pillow. Slowly but surely, Molly, Marlene and Alice woke up, their eyes narrowed. It was completely silent until Marlene finally spoke.
"Oh it is ON Lily Evans. It is SO on!" She grinned, picking up her own pillow. The rest of the girls followed suit and soon there were feathers everywhere and the four friends had collapsed in uncontrollable giggles.

This was the start of a bond between the girls which would stand the test of time and always exist, no matter what.
