"So are we still on for the study session at your apartment?" Neha asked as her, Nick, Billy, Lyle and I walked into the building.

"Yep," I said popping the p.

"Did you invite Stuart?" Lyle asked. I bit my lip as I pushed the elevator button.

"I umm," I stuttered. "I haven't had the chance." I chewed on my bottom lip as the elevator opened. We walked inside and pushed the button to our floor.

"Really?" Neha giggled, sending me a knowing look. "You've been at work with him, his desk right next to yours, all week and you haven't found the opportunity to ask him?"

I sent her a glare as Nick and Billy chuckled. "And haven't the two of you been working on that coding project together?" Lyle asked, joining the teasing.

"Alright, fine." I huffed. "I haven't been able to ask him. Every time I try to bring it up, I just. . ." I groaned as the elevator doors opened. I looked at them over my shoulder to see them smirking knowingly as they held back their laughter. "Shut up," I sighed as I walked towards our office.

I froze in the doorway when I saw Stuart sitting on the couch. "Hey, Y/N."

"Hey, Stuart." I started to walk to my desk but gasped when I felt Neha grab the back of my shirt, holding me in place.

"Stuart, Y/N has something to ask you." I glared at her over my shoulder before slowly looking back at Stuart.

"Okay," he said slowly. He looked up from his phone and looked between Neha and me.

I opened and closed my mouth, unable to form words. Stuart eyed me as he stood up and put his phone in his back pocket. I gasped as Neha pushed me, making me literally fall into Stuart's arms.

"You okay?" He asked as he looked down at me, his hands still on my waist.

"Yeah," I stuttered looking anywhere but at him. I took a deep breath while still looking at my shoes. "We were thinking about having a study session tonight at my apartment, wanna come?" I finally looked up at him, biting my lip.

"Yeah, sounds like fun." He smiled.

"Cool," I stuttered. I cleared my throat as my cheeks burned. "Umm, Stuart?"

"Yeah?"

"You can let me go now," I said, letting out an awkward chuckle.

He looked down like he just realized he was still holding onto me. "Sorry, Y/N."

"But what if we. . ."

"No."

"Have we tried. . ."

"Yes."

"What about. . ."

"We already tried that."

"Well, what if. . ."

"Already considered that."

"This is hopeless," I sighed as I tossed my old coding textbook on the coffee table, making a sleepy Nick and a half-passed out Billy jump. "We have been sitting here for hours."

"My brain is complete mush," Neha sighed as she leaned her head on my shoulder. I smiled as I reached up and patted her head. "I need a break."

"We could go to the club," Billy suggested, suddenly super awake.

"No!" We all yelled as we practically jumped up. He put his hands up in defeat before collapsing back onto the floor.

"I think we should call it," Lyle sighed.
