Chapter Five- Okay

Erin's POV

I woke up again, my alarm ringing in my ears. I looked over to see it was 5:40 am. Did I really sleep all day yesterday? Who knows. None of my brothers are awake yet, making me realize I probably missed my alarm yesterday. I threw on a white t-shirt with some black leggings. I went to my bathroom, and plugged in my hair straightener. I then went back to my room, grabbing my phone and ear buds. I put them on, making sure they were plugged in. You see.. I like music I'm not really supposed to listen to.

"What might that be?" You ask? Well.. it's rap. My favorite artists are XXXTentacion, sadly he's passed, and Eminem. But my brothers can't know that! They'd kill me! I'm supposed to be there 'angel'. Anywho, I make sure it's plugged in and start listening to SAD! By XXXTentacion. Once I put on the song, I start straightening my hair. I lightly apply a layer of lipgloss and some mascara, then turn off my phone and go downstairs.

Like I had said earlier, I was the only one awake for the time being, but Josh will probably wake up soon. I make myself some coffee (duh), and toast. I take out my phone again and see a missed call from Saidy, my best friend. I quickly call her back. She answers immediately.

"Omg Er! Where were you? Are you in trouble?" She gasped, "Did you skip?!"

"What?! No! Well..yeah..but.. ugh I'll talk to you later at school okay? Love ya." I said, not wanting to talk about it right now.

"Okay Er, but just promise you'll tell me later. Love ya too!" She said hanging up, not giving me time to agree or disagree.

I sighed inwardly. Oh Saidy, you dear child.

"Someone's up early." I hear a voice from behind me say. I turn around to see Jack. I roll my eyes and I fail to hold back a small smile. No matter how annoying they get, I'll still love them with all my heart.

"I should probably get to school.. do you know who is gonna drive me?" I ask, sipping on my almost empty coffee cup.

"Your stuck with me and Tanner today kiddo. Sorry," he says winking. I literally feel the color drain from my face. "Maybe I'll walk.." I say grabbing my bag. Suddenly a stern look crosses his face. "No." He deadpans then walks to the living room.

I followed him, surprised to see all my brothers socializing. Jack then coughed, gaining there attention.. is what I thought till they all stared at me.

"Erin, we still haven't discussed you punishment for skipping class, running off, or breaking the dress code." Zach says softly, yet still held authority and power. I shivered slightly before giving in.

"Okay."
