So I mainly did my introduction in the description, but I'm going to do another one here anyway because I'm like that.
I'm in Jr. High, 8th grade, and found out I was in the closet June/July/340987325 (I will fix this when I find out the date gimme a few days).
I'm both on the asexual and aromantic spectrums. I consider myself a sex-neutral asexual as of right now; I'm also only in middle school and haven't engaged in that activity. Maybe it'll change when I'm older and get married.
On the aromantic spectrum, I consider myself hetero-demiromantic. So far, I've had two crushes: one was my best friend two years ago (maybe?), and the second one... well, I'm trying to determine if it's a crush.
I also just found out there's a thing called a queerplatonic relationship, so maybe that's what I'm wanting, but right now I'm focused on trying to introduce myself to you readers so you know my background.
I'll admit it, right here, right now: I used to be a homophobe. Transphobe, biphobe, if it was a "phobia" of the LGBT+ community, I had it.
A lot can change in one year, can't it?
Going from, "that's the stupidest thing ever," to "whoops I'm a part of it."
Let me add this: I'm not homophobic, biphobic, any of that anymore. Off the top of my head, I can name eight people that I know that are part of the LGBT community, three of whom I just met and two whom I met last year; the other three are three of my best friends.
And honestly, between us nine, we have it all: one of the people I met last year is gay and trans, the other ace; one person I met this year is trans (I believe, I don't know them well) and the other is trans or genderfluid (I'm honestly not sure I've talked to them twice and don't know them personally); two of my best friends are bi and the other is pan.
Then there's me: the aro ace.
My family is very against LGBT. That's why I'm thankful that when I started making ace bracelets (cuz I'm an only child and am often lonely), my grandma said, "oh look, it's your high school colors!"
I hope this entry gives you the kind of background information I was wanting you to have, the kind that makes you know where I'm coming from and determines if I'm a valid source.
Aces and aros are valid.
Don't ever forget that.

i'm ace? and part of lgbt?
Non-FictionSo I've seen journals of people in the LGBT+ community on here, and I've also noticed that asexuals seem to have lack of representation. I wanted to share my story so that fellow aces can relate and/or feel like they're not alone. I'll probably make...
