Ghost of A Girl Part One

Chapter One

"Zia, hurry up!" my mom called up the stairs to me. I hopped down them three at a time, making somewhat graceful contact with the ground. My poofy dress flew up around me.

"Mum!"

"Missy, didn't you want to go to that dance?"

I inwardly groaned. No way did I want to go dressed in this ugly thing. It was a pink puffy poofy thing with littles ducks everywhere. My mom must be insane or something. She could not see ugly. Even when it smacks her in the face, like this particular dress actually did. Some woman had tried it on and threw it out of her dressing room. And it hit none other than my mom.

I gave her one look, and bounded up the stairs. "Be right down!" I called.I slammed the door of my room. I started stuffing a little red sleaveless number into my already stuffed purse. I had a dress, lipgloss, mascara, makeup, powder, foundation, everything I needed to look pretty for some nutty dance. I slid a big clunky necklace around my throat and clomped down the stairs in my huge heels. I honestly hate my mom sometimes. But I could not pack extra shoes in a little purse.

When I got down, she snapped a few photos, then we crammed ourselves into our car. The engine roared to life, and I checked for my cellphone. I had a feeling that if I tried to dance, I would hurt more people than I do with a tennis raquet and ball in gym. I can hit another kid in the head with the raquet, clip my own shoulder, and hit a kid on the head with the ball and another in the stomach. Pretty much injuring everyone on our court with one swing. I prayed I wouldn't make a full fool of myself. Which I was already doing by wearing this dress.

I said frantic goodbyes to my mom when we got to the school. Then I struggled my way out though the hugs and slobbering kisses. I ran through the crowds to the horrid bathrooms.

I ran into the girls room and into a toilet paper filled stall. I shimmied out of my dress and into the red one. I heard a loud roar then. "What the-" I screamed as the wall in front of me rippled. Dust flew out and the wall fell into the toilet. Then the wall fell on my feet and a giant truck barrled into me. The guy in the truck looked at me with fear in his eyes. I shrieked as the truck hit me. Then I passed out.
