It was another casual day at school. Zach hung out with Austin while he ranted about his in denial crush. He'd fallen head over heels for the young, blondie but he didn't want to believe it, especially cause he had a girlfriend. Austin knew about every part of this like he was Zach himself but only brought it up in private areas. This time it was in the privacy of the public bathroom stall. "You have to break up with her," "What?! No, are you crazy?" "Keep being friends, you're dating Maxx sooner than later," "I date who I want, I break up with who I want," "Someone's on his period," "Shut it! I don't want to talk about it right now, okay?" "We can talk on the roof if you want," "I'm just... I feel like a bad person for liking him," "Sheep can do it, dogs can do it, fucking aliens can do it, why can't you? It's completely normal. It doesn't matter what's in between your legs, it matters in here," Austin said putting his hand over Zach left breast. "I'm just so confused... I don't want to ruin what I have with Katie," "Continue being friends, I never said kick her out of your life, did I?" "No..." "Just talk to him, even if you can't be boyfriends you could still be friends, there's plenty of fish in the sea," "I guess you're right," "I'm always right when it comes to you, now let's get to class before we're late."

"Dude, ask him to prom," "What?! Are you fucking insane?" "He's right there," Zach looked at the lonely boy who was assembling a table full of sweets and punch. "Just go fucking ask him," "Give me a second," "God, just go!" Austin shoved Zach causing him to stumble towards Maxx, leaving a kiss on the younger man's lips. It was only them in the room at the time when Austin shoved him. Boy, Zach loved it but he was also very pissed. Maxx, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy it but was too shocked to react. So Zach could cover up his tracks he pulled from Maxx and instantly started yelling at him Austin who ditched. "I'm so sorry, you know how they are," Maxx nodded. "Friends are annoying," They stood there awkwardly for a few minutes. Zach wondered on about the kiss. The thin, soft, rosy pink lips that tasted of cherry chapstick. Maxx however wondered how to break the tough ice. "So... umm... are you going to prom with anyone?" Maxx took a moment to realize the question. "No, no one likes me..." The innocent boy sounded so depressed that it broke Zach's heart. "...Would you go to prom with a guy?" He nodded slowly. "Would you go to prom... w-with... me?" Zach looked down as his long hair covered his face. "Haha, funny joke," Maxx spoke sarcastically "I'm being serious, I want you to go prom with me," Zach didn't like how the words rolled off his tongue so easily. "Actually?" Zach nodded. "I like you, I just thought guys shouldn't behave like that, then... then I kissed you and I liked it and I came to terms with the fact that I want to date you, if you agree, of course," Maxx didn't know how to react. No one has ever asked him out, no one took him to prom, no one has even acknowledged him as a human being. Just the lonely emo kid that no body talks to. "We should talk more before I ask you out, you're right," "No! I just... I would love to go out with you," Zach beamed brighter than he ever
had. Zach gave Maxx the biggest hug he ever gave anyone which Maxx returned. "You just made me the happiest person ever," "And you just made me the happiest person ever," "Can I... like... kiss you... purposely?" Maxx giggled in Zach's arms and gave him a peck on the lips. "You can kiss me whenever you want," Zach pushed his lips against Maxx's. "Happy you kissed a boy?" "Happy I kissed you."

It's a really sh*t ending but I wanted to post this Friday and I didn't have a plan on how to end it so it was just a last minute thing.
