Margo had awoken several days later in her new spacious house. Four floors of a beautiful manor in which she had to herself, on the block she resided on her house was unquestionably larger than the others. Every room was furnished beautiful and elegant. The colours of the walls echoed of the fifty's with hues of baby blues and coral pinks. Wallpapers lined every hallway that made her feel like she was living in a real life dollhouse. Her wardrobe definitely had an upgrade, dozens of dresses tailored just for her with matching shoes and purses. Margo's life was definitely of upscale as she was formerly used to. As she made coffee in her grand kitchen, she stared at the empty baby high chair. All she wanted was her daughter back, to hold her in her arms. Resentment for testing her boundaries filled her heart with rage. She promised herself she would do anything to get her daughter back, to pretend she was what No Face made her into. Nothing mattered anymore but her daughter, and for that she shut her father out to keep herself on track.
John was settled into a smaller house on a different block not too far from his daughters Manor, he was courted with a lovely woman his age whom of which had looked at John as a blessing she received. Every morning his new wife Angelina made him breakfast and got his things ready for his workday. He found her quite annoying and naive. She looked at her time there as a gift from above, a place she was grateful to be at and he knew exactly why. The people here he knew were recruited and not kidnaped as some as the original psych experiments prior to this place. Woman and men who didn't have anyone to miss them, who were promised a home and family surrounded by a community of accepting peers that didn't shun them from the real world. Drifters and the homeless were brought in daily. Young girls who don't want to live the harsh reality of there lives they were thrown into. John realized this place was nothing like what he thought it was going to be- people weren't missing the outside world. They weren't curious at all and he knew fighting any longer was only going to push Margo farther away- surrendering to comply was his decision.
Margo made her way to the community hall. A grand place with a huge kitchen and crafts room that new woman arrived at weekly. Her job was fairly similar to her early days back at the old Millwood. She didn't need a rule book this time as it was memorized as well as the bible to some. She was the leader to the new faces and took her role very serious.
"Alright ladies, we have a new gal this week - welcome Ms.Barns." She stood in front of twenty girls who all sat in little school desks in front of her. Behind her was a chalk board with the days agenda and today was wardrobe day. "I know a lot of you are use to tight jeans and a lot of the new trends from ..." Margo remembered her strict order of never mentioning the outside world. "From what you were previously use to." She tucked her a lose hair behind her ear and turned to the blackboard. "Summers are about making bright statements. Patterns are a must and can really be the centre focal point to any wardrobe..." She rambled on for a few more minutes before a knock at the door interrupted her.
His eyes locked with hers immediately, her flushed face read it all as she stumbled for words. "Um—"
"Sorry for my intrusion Ma'm, I'm here to fix the window in this room- is now a good time?" Harvey had been kept busy as doing general maintenance around the town since his arrival.
"Not at all, we were just about to head to the sewing room... Come on ladies - I'll meet you there." She hurried her girls out one by one until it was just her and Harvey alone.
The door quietly shut behind him as he locked it, he slowly stepped towards her not breaking eye contact. " I love that colour on you." His hand reached for hers.
"You should.. get to work." She panted as he picked her up and placed her on top of her desk. "Harvey... no." Flash backs of the last time he had paid her a visit entered her scattered mind. "My girls... they."
"Are busy...." He trailed off as he placed his lips on her neck. "I miss you."
A desperate gasp of air escaped her mouth as she felt his hands lift her ruby red dress up to her knees. "No.. we cant." Fear of being caught and getting in trouble overtook her as she slapped his hands away. "Stop."
Like a gentleman Harvey backed down instantly. "I'm sorry.. when I'm around you I lose myself. Seeing you just a few minutes everyday is what's keeping me going."
"And I'm glad I give you that but I need to stay clear of anything that can keep me from getting my daughter back." She fixed her dress and tucked her hair back behind her ear as she went for the door before briefly stopping. "I love you, I probably always will but there is a part of me out there somewhere lost and looking for her mother... I know how that feels." Margo couldn't look him in the eyes, she hurried away out of the room and back to her reality.
