3 - omega: pregnancy: alone

• Even though their body screams for a mate almost every day of the pregnancy, they stick it out on their own for the first few months

• This leads to them slowly isolating themselves, to the point where they won't even go outside because their body is so desperate for a mate to take care of them

• Just as their first trimester is coming to an end, a beta friend of theirs decides to drop in, to check how they're doing, and finds them trembling and crying from stress on the sofa, with their hair unwashed and their clothes rumpled and their arms wrapped around their slightly swollen stomach

• The beta cleans them up and goes out and buys proper food, and then calls up some omegas that they know who have just had/are about to have pups of their own, asking them if they'd want to come round and help out their omega friend

• The omega just sits there and cries in relief, and when the beta pauses to give them a quick hug, the omega doesn't let go, and they spend about an hour just cuddled up, the beta comforting the omega

• After that day, the omega realises that their attitude was unhealthy, and could have potentially hurt their unborn pups had the beta not found them, and immediately they flip their life around

• The beta comes back a few days later with the other omegas, only to find the pregnant omega clearing out the house for the pups with a fierce determination

• The beta and the omegas form a little group that meet a few times each week, and they all bring their pups and let them toddle around the omega's house, and they talk about pregnancy and share tips and give advice

• Not one of them mentions their mate's role in the pregnancy, and instead suggest ways for the omega to get by alone

• But of course, the omega is never truly alone. When they go into labour and are rewarded, a few hours later, with two beautiful alpha pups, all their friends are outside in the waiting room with flowers and cards and balloons and words of congratulations and praise
