Alrighty! I'm hoping on actually keeping this one short without too much backstory. And a bit of news: I'm planning on making some preferences for the first time, so hopefully they'll be good. On to the story!

"I hope you can find yourself able to rest in my home," Lord Elrond said. And rest in his home you did. You ate as much food as your stomach would let you and slept for solid hours.

Your male companions, however, were not as pleased with seeking refuge here, Thorin especially. He considered all elves enemies. In fact, he was a majestic snob towards them, yet they tolerated and served him still. The other dwarves just wanted hot meat and and a pint of ale; the elves only had salads and wine. They found the elves boring and too noble to crack a joke. When your cousin, Bofur, got up on the table and sang, you all joined in while the elves stared at you with shock and disgust. You were glad to see your companions finally relaxing and having a bit of fun, even if it disturbed the elves.

So here you were now, skipping to the bath house. Your hunger was no more and you were about to get all this dirt off of you. All was going well until you turned the corner. In front of your very eyes, twelve dwarves charged into a grand fountain, naked as the day they were born. They splashed one another and laughed merrily while you stood there, frozen.

It was Kili who noticed you first. "Oi, (y/n)!" he shouted with a wide grin. "I see you're enjoying the view. Care to join us?"

You lowered your head to avoid the scene. "Um," you stuttered, "You know there's a bath house, right?"

"Oh, yes, lass, we know," said Bofur. "But this is much more fun. Come on in! The water's nice and cool."

"What makes you think she'll like that?" Kili asks and then tells the whole group, "We all know (y/n) likes it hot."

The young prince winked at you and the company exploded with laughter. You rolled your eyes and walked away, your face red and burning. When you got to the bath house, you took your time stripping yourself of your clothes before slipping into the warm water. There were many scented soaps that your scrubbed into your hair and on your skin. Your surroundings were quiet and peaceful as you hummed a tune.

Suddenly, you heard the faint sound of footsteps and immediately stopped singing. You turned to see your mischievous cousin dashing out of your room and down the hall with your clothes and towel bundled up in his arms. He was laughing like a pig as he tripped over his own feet, rose and ran off again.

"I'll gut you, Bofur!" you yelled after him. When he was out of sight, you let your anger out with a groan that turned into hair-ripping roar.

You had no clothes to change into and no maid to fetch you new ones. The only thing you could find to cover yourself with was the translucent lavender curtain that was currently flowing in the wind. After you stepped out of the tub, you forcefully yanked it off its rod and wrapped it around you. It was not a comfortable cloth to wear, and it was see through if you didn't wrap it around enough times, but it was all you had.

Drops of water rolled down your legs and left puddles in your footsteps as you paced through the halls, like they were teasing you an trying to embarrass you more. Your hair was dark and wet, your skin glowing with moisture in the light. You were looking around so frantically for signs of other people that you screamed with surprise when you bumped into one of the last people you wanted to wanted to see right now: Kili.

You had fallen to the floor and rolled around like you were on fire, trying to make sure he wouldn't see your body; Mahal knows that he wouldn't make this situation much better if he did.

Kili looked at you oddly with a perplexed smile. "Are you alright, (y/n)?" He reached to help you up, but you kicked (yes, kicked) him away.

"Touch me and I'll cut off your fingers," you said violently, taking him aback, "Right after I gut my cousin."
