 ✥Chapter 10: The Meeting ✥

Lana pov

Everyone was out of their houses and standing around, murmurs of worry and concern was clearly being expressed. "Y/n's mom and dad and the village's doctor was standing with them, along with some guards, and medical maids of the doctor-or nurses others call them. "Bring her inside. Quickly" the doctor insists. Chase reaches y/n over to the maids and we were escorted by the guards with the king and queen.

"Are you sure that is what you both saw?" she asks us. 

"Those things attacked us!! He turned that woman and they both escaped! We need to do something about this now Mrs.  Li'anne!" 

"Lana calm down, we'll just need to have patrol out every night to keep an eye on the city."

"M/n, we're not superheroes, we keep to our self and stay out of it." 

"F/n those things are obviously not killing animals anymore, they're tired of that. They want human blood-don't you get it?!" 

Both was having an argument of exchanged words, then both looked at Chase and I. "When y/n is back to school, stay close with her, you three may explore the city after school, but be here immediately when the strike of sundown starts." Mr. Li'anne states. We both nod. "You may leave, except for you, Chase"

Your pov

I slowly opened my eyes, seeing myself in a bed. It's dark, why is it so dark? There was a lamp on beside me...many lamps everywhere. I felt something heavy on me- a dress, a black dress. "Ew. Why am I wearing this?!" I got up quickly out of the bed, and went to the door, I noticed my weapons are gone.

 Welp. I opened the door and someone poofed in out of thin air, "AH!" I throw a punch that was quickly caught with a hand, I before I could look up to see the face I-

I sat up in a jumpscare, "Miss Y/n!!" I look around, seeing maids and Lana. "What happened?" 

"You don't remember? What happened last night?" I widen my eyes, "Miss Y/n you were knocked out by a blast" 

"....Oh no, did they..."  she nodded sadly. "Ugh, I should've been more cautious. This is all my fault!!" I hold my face in my hands, "Its not y/n!" "It is! I, I was shocked at what I saw! I just like....stood there, besides helping a woman who got turned as well! I should've transformed! I don't know what held me-" "Y/n, it is not your fault. We are just as shocked as you are ma'am. You wouldn't be able to transform anyway since they don't know anything about you being Shadow." one of the maids holds my hand, "You have no injuries, fortunately." "Everyone is getting word of it quickly" Lana whispers.

2 days later

*Yo dress above

Everyone was getting ready for the emergency meeting.  The residents stood in the village grounds. My mother and father was standing on the small stage set up for them.

 The maids was zipping the back of my dress up. I really haven't worn a dress since I was a tiny baby. "Its just this day and your initiation this week" "I forgot about that this Wednesday!" 

"Well it's a big day for you and everyone else, the day you officially become a princess!" 

"I really don't want to do this..." "*Gasp*" "What?" 

" You're the first I heard say that. To this day I never seen a princess act like this, tomboyish- total opposite! But in a good way..." "Ms. Lansley, I don't want to wear a dress or dance with guys! I just want to get in my bed, eat some ice cream or (favorite candy), and go to bed!"

 "Well you have many fish in the sea hopping on the boat for you!"

 "I don't think I meant it that way..."

 "Princess, you have no idea when I went out to do royal chores, how many guys out there talking about you and that dance." "Well I'm just gonna be a royal pain in their-" "Princess!" "Oh, right. Sorry" I blush. Ms. Lansley placed my tiara on my head careful not to mess up my hair, and placed a hand on my shoulder. 

("Are you sure I don't need the glasses? I mean, I don't know if I can see the stairs that well" "Can you go down them?" "I can see them a little bit but-" "Here" she hands me my glasses that matched my dress to me. They were attached to a chain, I put it over my head as they hung like a necklace." "Use them when needed and remember what your parents told you" ) 

 "You can do this, its just an hour" she whispers, opening the door as I could see the stairs leading to the stage, "*Gulp*" I started walking, "Straight!" she says as I walked out of the room and outside down the stairs, straightening my shoulders. I made it to the bottom, just now noticing the village went quiet looking at me, staring at me. My mom and dad smiling, proud to see their daughter, their future, in a dress, being who she is supposed to be-a princess, an heiress, a future queen, a future leader. The only thing that was heard was my clicking heels, 

(clicking slowly so I wouldn't trip).

 I heard whispers of people, making me more nervous, 

(I could see a few faces, but they were a bit blurry) 

as I stood next to my parents, everyone curtsied and made an applause. "I'm so proud of you" my mother whispered to me. I smiled a little as my father started the meeting.
