“LOUUUUU!!!” I hear Daisy and Phoebe yell as they both come out of their houses, running towards Louis and hugging him. Louis smiles as he hugs them back.

“Huh, at least he remembered his family,” I mutter under my breath, loud enough for Harry to hear me. He looked down at me, raising a brow.

“You’re still mad? Aw, come one, Ellie. You’ve got to loosen up. Be happy.” He says, giving me a small smile.

I roll my eyes, and murmur, “You don’t understand.” before walking away and stepping into the house, not wanting to talk to anyone at the moment. I ran up the stairs and made my way to my room. Removing my coat, I glared at the posters of One Direction that I had posted on the wall. I didn’t bother removing them—they were precious. Even though Louis won’t probably want to be my best friend anymore, I still have a little small spot for him.

I mean, he was pretty much the first guy I’ve fallen in love with.

Sighing, I turn my head to my desk. There stood a picture frame of Louis and me smiling so wide. The picture was taken two years ago, back when I had just turned 17. Louis decided to surprise me then by buying me the Polaroid camera I’ve always wanted that cost around £1000. So, I decided to take a picture with him for a remembrance or something. If only Lou was still the same Lou that I know…

I went to my bed and got my phone out of my pocket, connecting it to the speakers at the foot of my bed. Playing the song to Cher Lloyd, I put my phone down and got my laptop, in which I left turned on earlier.

I checked my twitter, but nothing new. More followers, some mentions, but nothing else, so I decided to reply the mentions and tweet a message:

@HeyitsEllieeee: So my best friend is back from his work, and unfortunately, he’s changed. Poor little Ellie. LJ

After all that, I chose to spend my remaining free time checking my tumblr account, which was annoyingly full of One Direction posts. I wasn’t in the mood to think about them right now, but I didn’t have much of a choice.

Scrolling through tumblr, I hear my door open, revealing Louis standing in my doorway. I raised a brow, confused as why he was in my bedroom.

“Oh, uhm Ellie,” he said awkwardly. “Your mum’s calling for all of us to go my house for dinner.”

Sighing, I close my laptop and hop down the bed, straightening my clothes. Louis looked around with a smirk plastered upon his face.

“Hmm, been a while since I came here, El.” He said. “And it hasn’t changed one bit.”

I faked out a smile and switched the speakers off, getting my phone and putting it in my pocket as I head out of my room. Meh, it’s pretty surprising he remembers that we were friends.

Louis whistled as he walked behind me. “Ooh, iPhone 4s, someone’s posh.”

I rolled my eyes. “Ha, and someone’s getting posh too for not talking to me ever since he auditioned for the X Factor and now he’s in some famous boy band called One Direction.” I shoot back as I scowl.

“You’re mad about that?” Louis says as I descend the stairs. “Look, Ellie. I wasn’t able to contact you because we weren’t allowed to communicate in the X Factor. And, I changed my phone.”

“Oh, I completely understand. Why didn’t you Skype me after the Finals?” I retort while we headed to the front door.

“Oh, I didn’t think of that. Sorry.” He says in a tone that was supposed to sound sheepish.

I abruptly stop, causing him to bump into me, resulting Louis muttering a few colorful words directed to me, which I ignored. I turned around to face him. “D’you have a pen?”
