Chapter Five—Reasons Revealed In the Restaurant
I woke up to find myself in a rather stiff position. My head was resting on somebody’s shoulder, and—
Wait, what?
What happened last night? All I remember is playing Monopoly with the boys, and then getting pissed at Louis for being such a killjoy, and then watching Zombieland with them.
Oh, then I must’ve fallen asleep on Harry’s shoulder.
Shoot.
Speaking of Harry.
I sit up straight and stretch my arms and neck. My body feels sore. God. I shouldn’t have slept sitting down.
I examine the curly haired boy’s face. At a distance like this, you can already spot the pimples on his forehead and cheeks. It wasn’t so bad, actually. It was like it suited him.
I guess.
“What are you doing?” I was startled by Harry’s sudden voice that echoed throughout the empty living room. Realizing that I was probably staring at him in an odd way, I quickly looked away and stifled a yawn.
“Good morning, Harry.” I say, ignoring his previous statement. “Where are the others?”
Harry rolls his eyes and replies. “Louis and the others went to his house to sleep. I was supposed to come along, but with you sleeping on my shoulder, I had no choice but to stay behind and sleep beside you.”
“Oops,” I say, a bit embarrassed. “I’m sorry, Haz.”
Harry nods and stands up. “It’s fine. Anyways, do you have some food to cook for breakfast?”
“No.” I reply. “I ran out of breakfast food. I cooked the last bit of the bacon and eggs yesterday, but you and Niall ate it instead.”
“Oh,” Harry says, smiling cheekily as he remembered the incident yesterday. “That. So you mean you’re fresh out of food?”
“Well yeah, but I guess my mom would go do the groceries—wait. Have you seen my mom?”
“Oh yeah. While you were sleeping, your mom came back here and told us to tell you that she’d be staying late at work, and she’ll just come back later in the afternoon.” He replied and grabbed a carton of milk inside the refrigerator. “Anyways, let’s go grab some brunch or something. I need to eat.”
“Sure thing,” I shrug, and walk upstairs to grab some fresh clothes. “You’re bringing the boys, aren’t you?”
“Nah,” Harry calls out to me. “I’m sure they’re still fast asleep. Besides, you have a lot to tell me.”
I roll my eyes, even though Harry couldn’t see me. “I know.”
As I step inside my room, I head to the drawer and pick out some warm clothes. A sweater, some leggings, and a long fur coat. After that, I out on some boots and head downstairs to see Harry sitting on the couch, already changed.
“Harry…?” I raise a messy eyebrow. “What the…how did you change your clothes?”
Harry smirks. “I can teleport, you know.”
I roll my eyes and cross my arms. “Whatever, Harry. Yesterday you tell me you’re a secret ninja, and now you’re telling me that you can teleport? What, are you going to tell me that you’re a secret fortune teller tomorrow?”
“…Maybe…?” he says in a sheepish tone and I sigh.
“Ha-ha.” I laugh sarcastically. “Anyways, we’d better get going. You wouldn’t want to be mobbed by fans while we eat our dear breakfast, do you?”
