“Do I really have to do this?”

I let out a groan as I glumly put on my Vans and my phone in my pocket. Four days has passed since the paparazzi photo, and Liam decided it was best for the both of us to be out on a date or something. I obviously did not agree to this, but it was a majority, with me being the only one refusing to do the date thing with Harry, and the other boys agreeing on the latter. Besides, management was totally agreeing to this “fake dating” thing. It was kind of the only way to make the Larry Stylinson shippers stop spreading rumors about it. And for the sake of it, they even offered to pay me when I started having doubts about this thing.

Of course, being the money lover that I am, I accepted the offer without hesitation.

“Of course you do,” said Harry, who was casually looking at me with a sly grin plastered upon his face. "Besides, do it for Larry Stylinson, or imagine I'm your boyfriend or something."

"I don't have a boyfriend, Harry. We broke up last summer." I sigh as I run a hand through my hair. Now, I completely regret taking up on that offer from management.

"Wait wait, HOLD UP!" Louis interjected just as Harry was about to say something. "You actually had a boyfriend while I was away? That was what, two years ago?"

"A year and a half, actually," I cut him off through gritted teeth.

"Whatever," he hissed back at me before returning to his mocking voice. "I remember you were the geek at school. You wore braces because your teeth are crooked, you wore glasses because of your eyesight, you weighed over a hundred and fifty pounds because you loved to eat a lot before, your face was covered in pimples and acne and all that shit, and all through that, you managed to get a boyfriend? Impressive."

"Louis, this isn't the time to insult Ellie," Harry immediately said to Louis. "Anyways, we'd better get going."

I nod, and I quickly followed Harry outside of my house to his car, trying to keep a straight face, as if Louis' words didn't affect me.

But it did. Stupid Louis.

There was an awkward silence as Harry put the key in the ignition and the engine was on. I avoided his wary gazes at me by looking out of the window and just waiting for him to drive to the restaurant we were supposed to have our "date". A few minutes later I heard a sigh from the curly eyes lad as he spoke up.

"Don't you feel hurt by his words?"

I was taken aback by what Harry had just said. It was true, I felt hurt. But I hadn't expected Harry to be offended on what Louis told me.

"It's not that big of a deal-"

"Yes it is," he stated, calmly, but there was a tone of sterness. "If someone told me that, I'd be sure to blow up at the speaker."

"Okay, I admit I was really offended," I replied with a sigh. "but it was in the past. I'd be more offended that he'd say that I'm still as hideous as before."

This time, Harry didn't say anything. We just drove in silence during the car ride going to the restaurant Harry was going to bring me to.

Fifteen minutes later, after points of awkward silence and unmade thoughts, we finally arrived to a really fancy looking restaurant. I gulped and looked down at what I was wearing. Who wears jeans and a plain shirt to a retaurant for rich kids?

Harry noticed my concern and sneered. "Don't worry, you don't have to wear anything fancy for this restaurant."

"But, err--"

"It's not like they're going to judge you, Ellie." he rolled his eyes. "Come on, stop being so negative."

With that, without giving me a second to reply, he grabbed my arm and dragged me to the entrance of the restaurant, where in people started to look at Harry and me. There were faint whispers from people who passed by us, saying, 'Oh my God it's Harry Styles and Ellie Griffins. They're dating right?' or something similar with those words. I resisted the urge to look at them, so I started fiddling with the hem of my shirt.

As Harry and I walked up to the reception table, I felt a hand envelope mine to stop my fiddling. I looked up at Harry, who just shrugged and whispered, "Got to put the show up." I nodded immediately and rested my head against his shoulder when we stopped in front of the table.

"May I help you?" the receptionist, who looked around 23 or a year older, asked us with a smile.

Harry cleared his throat. "I reserved a table here for two."

"Name?"

"Harry Styles."

The receptionst nodded and called over a waiter who led us to our table, which was on the far right corner of the restaurant. I raised a messy brow at Harry, and he returned the gesture with a smirk. "We need our privacy."

I roll my eyes as the waiter left us to be alone. Harry took this as an opportunity to pull open my chair and let me sit. There was a sincere smile on his lips and his eyes showed happiness. That caused a blush to slowly creep its way to my cheeks. Hopefully he didn't see it, because I lowered my head and reached out for the menu,

"So what are you getting?" I asked Harry whilst he scanned through the menu.

"I think I'll have the steak with the mashed potatoes. How about you?"

"I...I'll have the salad." I frowned. "I'm not r-really hungry right now..."

"You're not very good at lying." he replies, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. "Do tell me, is this because of what Louis said--"

"It's not that!" I say a little to quickly, and the red tint comes back to my face, With that, Harry smiled in triumphed, but it became a frown.

"Okay, Ellie. You are lying. But you don't have to think about what he said." he reaches out to grab my hand. "Besides, that's all in the past, as you said. You're not fat anymore, nor you don't have any braces and acne anymore, and that's all that matters."

I give him a grateful smile. "Thanks, Harry."

He smiles back. "Anytime. So, are you still thinking of eating salad?"

I snort. "Pssh, no."

Anyways, for all Larry Stylinson shippers out there, I have decided to create another Wattpad account for all my homo stories about Louis and Harry together. My account name is @MalikMonday and I have posted a story entitled, Connection. It's a story about two teens becoming best friends over the internet, while in real life, they hate each other. Don't worry, there isn't any smut I think...but oh well.

Please comment down below for your suggestions with the story so far. A simple "UPDAAAATE" comment is nice :)

So yeah. Vote, comment, add this to your reading list to all you new readers, and yeah.
