Chapter Three—Plans and Memories
‘Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring—‘
Groaning, I groggily open my eyes and got my phone. I checked my phone to look at the time. Who would want to call me at this hour? It was only…oh. It was already 2 in the afternoon. I slept that long?
I answered my phone and put my phone into my ear.
“Helloooo…” I say in a sleepy voice, yawning as I did so. I wasn’t fond of talking right after I wake up. It was too tiring and everybody knows I’m a lazy bum.
“Ellie, are you awake? What made you sleep for 14 hours straight? Were you that knackered from last night?” I heard a familiar husky voice from the other line. I scrunched up my eyebrows. How the heck did he get my number?
“Harry,” I say, sighing. “How did you get my phone number?”
“Oh, you know. I’m a secret ninja.” Harry says as he chuckles a bit. I rolled my eyes.
“Okay then,” I say. “Why’d you call me?”
Harry replies. “Do you want to go grab some coffee at Starbucks? I’ll tell you everything there.”
I smirk. “Fine, but you’re paying for me.”
“…Fine. See you at Lou’s house then.”
“Okay. Bye.” I hang up and crawl out of my bed. My stomach rumbled, and I sighed. I must be hungry for not eating breakfast and lunch today. Oh well. I guess a warm cup of coffee and something would make up for it.
I headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. It’s better to be clean than go out all smelly and dirty. After the shower, I went back to my room to put on some warm clothes.
I opened my closet and changed into something warm. (Look to the right y’all. --à) I brought out my purse in case I spotted something I wanted to buy. I ran down the stairs to see my mum just grabbing the car keys.
“Oh, you’re awake already, thank goodness,” Mum said as she opened the front door. “I’ll be going out. I have a meeting in the office. I’m giving you the house keys, so take care, okay?”
I nod, and I watch my mother turn the engine of her car on and drive away. Sighing, I walk over to the kitchen and pour myself a glass of water. I hoped Harry wouldn’t go and invite the four other boys. I mean, Zayn, Liam, and Niall are pretty much okay for me, but I couldn’t stand being with Louis. I was still mad that he removed my number from and arm, and ignored me the whole day. Sure, we gave each other a hug last night, and then muttered a few goodnights and all. But not another word to each other.
After my rather cold drink I stepped outside of the house and saw that Harry has been waiting outside Lou’s porch. He turned his head in my direction and smiled. I smiled back, and Harry ran towards me.
“Took you long enough,” he said as he came up to me. “I was starting to think you’d come out in another hour or two.”
I rolled my eyes. “Well you’re wrong. Besides, I’m not those kinds of girls who would spend 5 hours in her room deciding what outfit to wear.”
Harry grinned. “I thought so.”
---------------------------------------
“So, what did you want to talk about?” I ask a few minutes after Harry and I got our drinks and sat on the couches.
Harry smirked. “I’ve got a plan to make you and Louis become best friends again.”
The smile on my face falters and I frown.
