you and bucky had been engaged for 7 months and were getting married in 4. you had just brought your new house, it was large, you had a good job and were respected high up in the agency.
one night you and bucky were sat on your couch, a cosy fire lit in the corner. lets just say you were so comfortable in each others arms that you drifted off to sleep, he laid you down and went to stretch out and fall asleep on your other couch.
bucky awoke first maybe too late... the fire had taken over the whole house, your living room ablaze. he scrambled to his feet dashing over to wake you but it was too late, you were lying motionless on the burnt up floor, burnt all over, your face, chest.
he crouched down next to you, tears spilling down his face. he pressed his hand to your chest gently, nothing.
