Yesterday I realized something
as I drank with my family
as we played our game
my first thought wasn't you
my first thought was my current love
my wife
my new friends
my first thought was everyone but you
everyone but you and your friends who wounded me deeply
my first thought wasn't to be sad and depressed that you guys are gone
it was how happy and excited I am to one day meet my girlfriend in person
it was how excited I am to see my wife again soon
it was how happy I am that I made friends online
I thought about them all for a while before I realized
that you weren't on my mind
it made me so happy that I've stopped thinking about you
it made me so happy that I'm finally getting over you
