Chapter 27

Beerus tried to stand where he fell and when he was able to stand; he stood there holding the staff as he clutched his side "Beerus what happened to you?!" shouted Goku as Beerus leaned on the staff and walked toward them. As he did so, they got a better look at him and saw how much worse it was. He was missing an eye, half his left ear, his right arm, and he was bleeding badly "P-Pride w-was t-too mu-much," Beerus stuttered as Goku helped him walk

"Take it easy, Bulma got any room in the healing pods?" said Goku

"Over here," she replied as Beerus stopped

"W-wait, I-I need to-"

"Don't speak, Beerus, we'll help you," said Goku

"N-no you don't understand, h-he's too strong... and I-I'm too weak to do s-so," said Beerus

"Y-you're too weak?" asked Vegeta

"V-very much so... Luna, Lincoln, come here," Beerus said as the two walked toward him

"What do you need?" asked Luna as Beerus looked at them

"L-Listen to me you two, I've lived long enough to know when I should admit defeat, but that doesn't mean anything now... Whis wanted you to have this, Lincoln," Beerus spoke as he handed Lincoln the staff that belonged to Whis

"T-thank you," Lincoln said as he held the staff tightly and Beerus looked at Luna with his one remaining eye

"Luna, you had surpassed all my expectations as a Sayain and I must say I'm happy that I'm doing this," Beerus said as he leaned his body on Goku and pointed his hand at Luna

"W-what are you doing?" asked Luna as he fired a purple beam into her heart... but she didn't scream. Instead, she felt a surge of power that caused her to fall to her knees. She breathed heavily as Lincoln looked at Beerus with anger "What did you do to her?!" he asked

"Congratulations, Luna Loud; you are now the God of Destruction of Universe 7," Beerus said as he went limp and Goku had to catch him

"W-what?" asked Luna

"Hn, so my student is the God of Destruction... I can't be any prouder," said Vegeta with a smirk

"Hey, she's my student too!" said Goku as he carried Beerus to a healing pod

"So... what now?" asked Luna as Lincoln looked at the staff and at his body

"First; I get dressed," Lincoln said as they all sweated dropped

"Yeah, thank you captain obvious," said Lynn

"Then; we prepare ourselves, I'm going to figure out how this thing works while Goku and Vegeta train with Luna. After that, we go to Universe 6 and have that angle train Luna in her for a bit," finished Lincoln

"Alright, you heard the half-angle, let's get to it!" said Piccolo as Lincoln went to find himself some clothes. As he did so, Luna was behind him as she followed him. Lincoln turned his head as he said: "Why are you following me?"

"I wanted to make sure you didn't need any help," she said

"I'm fine, but for now just go train with Vegeta and Goku, alright?" said Lincoln with a small smile as Luna smiled back and went to find the two sayains. When she was gone, Lincoln found himself alone in a room. He looked at the staff and at the floor "Alright, let's see what happens when I tap it like this," he whispered as he tapped the staff twice on the floor and he was enveloped in a white light. When he could see again, he looked at a nearby mirror and found himself wearing a white robe with matching baggy pants, black boots that run beneath his shins, and a blue sash around his waist. But the thing that caught his eye the most was the halo floating above his head. It was a pale blue, like his skin, and floated just behind his head at an angel. He looked at himself as he stared at the halo. He then began to cry as he remembered Hit, then Linka, and now Whis. He cried as he whispered through his tears "Why? W-why does everybody have to die on me?"
