Daniel's eye made a sweep around my office. I looked too hoping there was no evidence of the little tryst. Thankfully the air conditioning was on and had filtered out the sweet smell of sex. At least I thought it had.

"I was thinking."

"You know how?" I interrupted him.

He just smirked. "We should set up a regular meeting to discuss business matters. I was hoping for lunchtime, but it looks as if you are otherwise engaged."

He wasn't smirking any longer. In fact, his voice sounded cold. I looked at my computer to hide my embarrassment, but also because my eyes kept being drawn to his narrow waist and the way his tailored pants hung on his hips, much like the towel.

Get a grip! I just had a mind-blowing orgasm with my boyfriend. Except it was this body, I was visualizing when I came.

I replied, "Noon is fine, but why can't we talk at the house?"

"Because if this is going to work, we have to keep business away from pleasure," he said dryly.

"What pleasure?"

"I think you know quite a bit about pleasure," he spat, as he turned on his heels and left.

Almost immediately, my father called me into his office. I wasn't even aware he was in the building.

"I see you survived your first night." He had a twinkle in his eye.

"You're having fun with this. Why?"

"Because it's important to me you can work together and it was important to your mother you two get along." His eyes looked lost.

"Dad, don't," I whispered. I didn't want to think about my mother ─ not here when I had work to do.

"I didn't know about you and that Landry from Sales. I would like to tell you to stop seeing him, but I know you wouldn't listen. However, entertaining in your office is not befitting to someone who wants what you want."

"So now I can't go in public or have lunch with him in my office!"

I was feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. My damp underwear reminded me that we weren't eating lunch. Could my father possibly know?

"You agreed to this arrangement."

Under my breath, I said, "I feel like I sold my soul to the devil."

"I heard that. If you think a man is more important than your dreams go ahead and walk away from the devil. When we said we'd hire our replacement we didn't mean you couldn't apply. Although you haven't the business experience, so I imagine Dan would be a better candidate."

I thought steam was going to come out of my ears, as I slammed the door on my way out of his office. What fired me up more was I heard him chuckling.

As soon as my day was done, I appeared on Nate's doorstep. He smiled at me. "Are you back for more? That was quite the executive's lunch."

My jaw was set and fist clenched, as I brushed past him without responding to his joke. Finally, I exploded, "My father found out about your... um, visit. I've been told no more lunches. I can't believe he's dictating what I can and can't do. Part of me wants to tell him to shove it!"

"You can't, baby. When you're the boss everything will be perfect. You'll make all the big decisions."

"Not alone. It will be me and him." I sighed.

"So he can't do anything unless you agree?"

"It will go both ways."

"So hiring and firing and promoting?"

"Yes, but I'm more invested in which products we spend money developing and which we don't."

I started to talk about my ideas, but he distracted me by unbuttoning my blouse.

"You know you're sexy when you talk about work."

He kissed me, his tongue dancing with mine. Unlike our lunchtime liaison, we completely undressed. As he pressed into me, I was determined to think only of him. I refused to let my mind have any more visions. With each thrust, I moved to try to seek maximum pleasure. As he made his face and grunted, it was only a one-sided event. He had reached the finish line without me.

I must have been overthinking it by trying not to think of the towel around those hips. My mind was not able to let myself go, but strangely, I wasn't frustrated. I was tired and stressed from dealing with my living situation and my father.
