"Tia....Tia!" Jasmine shook me

"I'm sorry what was you saying" I shook my head looking back at her

"Never mind" she proceeded to get up but I pulled her back down

"What was it jazz" I looked her in her eyes

"It was nothing ok just forget it" she snatched her hand away from mine and walked back to her office. Lately I've just been completely out of it only because I got a call from my mother and she wasn't happy with me being the fact that Tamar told her what she assumed was going on when she stopped by my house that night I was supposed to meet with my mother during my lunch break but I don't know. A knock came at my door it was Clarence don't get me wrong he's fine but I got my eye for jasmine

"There's my sexy lady" I rolled my eyes

"What do you want Clare"

"You, why can't you just give me a try Tia" he said grabbing my hand I let go

"Because I don't want you Clarence now can you leave me alone" I grabbed my files trying to leave

"No I cannot I want you" he grabbed my wrist I instantly had a flash back of something from my past that I didn't want brought back up

"Clarence I'm gonna tell you one more time let.me.go" he still kept a tight grip on my arm little did we both know Jasmine was standing right outside the door

"If I was you, I'll let it go" she opened the door looking at him. If looks could kill he would be a goner

"Ms. Br-Brantley, I-uh" he couldn't find what words to explain his actions

"Leave." She pointed to the door "oh and have your stuff out your office by 2"

"But Ms.-."

"There's nothing needed to be said Clarence, your fired" he walked out like a sad puppy. Then she walked back to her office

What in the world. My phone had rung it was my mother I looked at the clock and realized it was lunch. I grabbed my purse and jacket and headed down the hall I got in my car and drove to the cafe down the street where my mother was

"Jazz what's wrong with you" Gil came in my office

"I like her damnit, I like her a lot" in all my times I never found someone attractive like her after I vowed not to fall in love again here I am falling for my freaking assistant not knowing if she cares about me the same I feel like such a idiot

"I knew it Jo it's written all over your face whenever she walks in the room anywhere, but it's ok to like her Jasmine forreal" Gil came beside me

"I feel stupid Gil" I put my face in my hands as I thought about it all

"Why you feel stupid Jo"

"Because what if she doesn't feel the same what if I've gotten attached to someone who doesn't even look at me that way except for what we agreed on"

"Gil leave me alone, I just wanna be left alone"

"Gil Leave and that's a order"

"Alright" in that moment I just wanted to be left alone I needed time to think about it, when Tia come back I'll call this whole thing off and stick straight to business I won't let another person hurt me
