a small amount of panic edged calum's usually strong voice as he shook his head in disagreement. "no no no, we started this and we have to finish it."

but ashton and luke weren't so sure.

everything was quiet for a moment, before michael finally spoke.

"there's nothing we can do for her now man, she—"

"there's nothing we can do for her? there's nothing we can do for her?! that's the whole point you complete asshat !" calum paused, his head in his hands as he took slow breaths. "we can't change the fucking past, we can't change her pain, but i will not let you sit here feeling sorry for yourself when you can make a difference now."

michael, confused, raised an eyebrow. "how can i make a difference now?"

this question resulted in another bout of silence amongst the boys, contemplation quickly becoming their new best friend.

"we could go see her," luke suggested.

michael's head snapped up at that thought, his emotions and inagination running haywire. meet her? real life meet her? the idea sounded so wonderful that he didn't know if he was even worthy. she was an angel, a princess, and he was the boy that had let her down.

"well, we could." ashton ran a hand through his hair. it shouldn't be too hard to find her; social media and the limitless power that came with being famous should make it easy to track her, but that wasn't the issue.

she was the issue.

this broken girl.

would she want to meet them? wouldn't she think it was an invasion of her privacy, them all reading those messages together? the boys hadn't thought about that at first, thinking it was all just a bit of fun. now though, now she meant something to them all.

and it would kill them to hear about any more pain that she may have suffered throughout that year.

unexpectedly, calum was the one to suggest the most reasonable course of action. "okay maybe we should stop reading, it is kind of a bad thing, what we're doing," he pointed out what michael was also thinking. "but we should go see her, meet her, help her if we can."

one by one, they all nodded slowly.

"so?" luke looked around the room. "are we all in agreement?"

his question was met with small nods and a frown from michael. but they were right. as much as he hated it, they were right.

"let's go see my girl."
