We were all in the forest now. Y/n was making sure that none of us slowed down. He was ahead of us using what little Darkness he had in him to track down Victor. "Keep moving were getting closer!" He called out. Jaune sighs. "He's been saying that for the last fifteen minutes.." Pyrrha smiles a little. "Come on Jaune he's had a stressful night. We all have. I'm sure that the Darkness in these Brotherhood people hands is a dangerous as he says it is He's our friend." We all start to move quicker to catch up with Y/n who had stopped atop a cliff. I move to stand beside him. "Is everything okay?" He points into the distance. "See that Structure over there?" I look into the distance my vision being the best out us given that I am a faunas. "It looks like an abandoned mansion." he nods. "Thank you. It looks like we have caught up to them." Jaune lets out a sigh of relief. "Does that mean we can take a break now?" I catch y/n smile a small amount. "Five minutes is all we can spare Jaune." He says turning his attention back to the mansion in the distance. The others are all sat down catching their breaths. I decide to stay by his side instead. "Are you okay?" I ask him. He turns his head slightly to look at me. "Once we get the Darkness back I will be." He sits down now letting his legs slip over the edge of the cliff. I look up at the broken moon. "Thank you Blake." I turn my head to him. "For what?" He just smiles at me. "For everything." I feel my heart flutter as he says that. I can tell he is in some discomfort with his face it was badly burned. He gets up now. "Right let's keep moving." The others groan slightly but don't complain to much. We now start to head out again.
Y/n Pov.
After another hour of heading deeper into the forest we had finally arrived at the seemingly abandoned mansion. I stop everyone as they now look up at it. "This place gives me the creeps seriously." Yang says as she lets out a shiver to emphasize. "Everyone should stay with their partners. I'm hoping we have the advantage that they will not truly be able to manage the Darkness to the level I can. If that is the case we need to work as a team to take them down." I move in front of them now. "If any reason we fail or I die." They move to say something but I put my hand up to stop them. "I'm being honest here I have no idea how much power they can use right now but we have to prepare for the worst. If they pin us then run and leave me.." I look at Blake. "Your lives are more important than mine. I couldn't live with myself if one of you died because of me so if you are in danger just run." I look down a little now. It seems to set in just how difficult this challenge was going to be. "Why don't we unlock your Aura? Pyrrha was able to unlock mine perhaps she could unlock yours.It would give you a better chance. " I shake my head. "I'm sorry Jaune but that impossible. You need to have your soul be complete to have aura or a semblance. Mine was broken when the Darkness first came out." They all look at me unsure what to say. "If any of you want to back out we will not blame you." Blake walks forward. "I'm not backing down only we can stop them." The others all agree. "Just was giving you all a choice." I say. "Stay close to me and work with your partner." I repeat as we now make our way inside. The mansion ceiling was covered in cobwebs. The floor littered with knocked over furniture and old rags covering them. "It's a little low on security isn't it?" Ruby says holding onto her weapon tightly. "They must be hiding somewhere or are confident in their ability to use the darkness." We make our way further into the mansion eventually heading into what appears to be a large cellar. I can hear voices now so I motion for the others to keep it down. "Yes! That's it give it to me I need it!" A voice calls out I instantly recognize it as Peevish. We turn the corner to see Victor holding the siphon over the kneeling Peevish who is impaled slightly with Siphon. I can see dark essence flow into him slightly before Victor removes the siphon.
Victor turns to see us. "Break them Peevish. You may use y/n's corpse as you please." He then disappears into smoke with the siphon leaving Peevish behind. Peevish gets up slowly. "Hello pretty-boy." He waves him arms around slowly summoning some darklings. "Shit.." I say. "Play my pets." Peevish says as they darklings charge at us. "Take care of them I'm going after Peevish!" I shout as I pull out my fathers pistols. The others draw their weapons now fighting off several darklings. "Now you will see! Now you will be revealed as the pathetic creature you are!" Peevish screams out. Dark smoke covering his body. "So much Power!" I aim my gun at him taking a shot. It seems to do more damage than I would have expected. "The darkness isn't accepting him as it's host." I say with a grin. "Lies!!" Peevish retorts back at me. Knowing this doesn't make him any less dangerous but at least now I will be able to defiantly kill him. The fact the darkness is trying to reject him means it won't heal him enough in time. "Let's do this!" I say now giving it all I got. My aim was never off it was times like these that I was most glad I had learned to rely on my own aim than use the darkness in the past. After emptying 2 clips into Peevish I could tell he was starting to become overwhelmed with the damage I was doing. "You will not have the Darkness back y/n!" He screams at me. "Don't you ever shut up!" I scream back at him. I notice my friends all having difficulties against the Darklings. I have to end this fight quickly for their sake. I pull out my swords now rushing at Peevish. He pulls out his own sword to block my strike. Using what Weiss has taught me in the past I'm able to stand my ground against him. My training with Weiss paid off as it taught me to exploit his weaknesses. I was gaining the upper hand. It's now or never I thought. I lunged forward as one of my blades pierced his chest going through. He gasps and falls to his knees in front of me. "How can this be I have the darkness...." He mutters out. "The Darkness refuses you because it belongs to me.." I say glaring down at him. "You won't stop Victor it's too late." he chuckles before coughing up some blood. The darklings all start to disappear as he's losing strength. "This is for the people of Hellgate." I raise my free sword and slash taking his head off cleanly letting it roll along the floor. I pull my blade out of his body and it falls to the floor. Black smoke hangs in the air before being absorbed by my body. Once it is absorbed I feel the serpents arms appear. " Look y/n got the darkness back!" Jaune says happily as if this was all over. I shake my head. "No this is but a fraction of the darkness's power. It s still in the hands of Victor in the siphon. However I do feel stronger again so this really does help." The scars I had from earlier were not healing for some reason but I shake it off. Weiss steps forward. "I have a question why didn't he have the serpents arms like you do now?" I look down at Peevish's body. "Because the Darkness was rejecting him. Come on we have to keep moving I don't want Victor escaping." They nod as we make our way out of the cellar. Eventually we reach what appears to be a giant ballroom. The ballroom was split into a upper and lower level. The lower level used for dancing while the other for sitting and presumably eating. I see a single table in the middle of the room with a photo on it. Not wanting to be caught in another trap I tell the others to stay alert. I slowly move towards the table when I reach it I see it has a picture of my father on it. "You know your father was obsessed with the darkness." A voice says from behind us on the upper levels of the ballroom. I immediately recognize it as Victor. I turn to face him. "He meddled with things he didn't understand. His pathetic attempt to control what he could not." I start to get annoyed. "What the hell are you talking about?" Victor surprises me by teleporting across to the other side of the room. "He never told you did he? No. He reached out to us many years ago. He'd heard of the siphon and was desperate to find it. Your father wanted a cure for the darkness. He wanted a cure for his little boy. Isn't that sweet?" My fist balls up. "Bullshit!" I call out. "He promised us the darkness if we found the siphon Y/n. When we finally found it he tired to back out of the deal. That attack on Hellgate when you were a child was to capture him however before we could the Darkness had passed to you. For almost two decades we waited looking for the siphon and then looked for you. Then finally you returned to the world. Now we are back to collect his debt to us. Now this world will burn and kneel before us!" He slams the siphon down which cause some energy to burst out of it pushing us all back to the ground. Victor teleports in front of me now. "Keep clinging to what little dark essence is left inside you. I can sense it leaving you as we speak. Even if you survive this all I have to do is wait for your batteries to run out." Brotherhood soldiers now walk in armed to the teeth. "Please take care of our little friends here. When Y/n is broken bring him to me." Victor teleports again disappearing with the siphon. We all get back up on our feet now. The brotherhood Immediately attacks us. Ruby fires off a few blast from her scythe knocking a few of them back. Meanwhile Yang shoots forward immediately punching anyone that gets close to her. We all put up a good fight and after ten minutes they had knocked out the brotherhood soldiers. Only I killed it seems. "There over here come on." We heard come form a corridor. "Shit must be back up.." I say. Ruby and Yang run towards the corridor while Weiss runs to join them. Blake stays at my side. I turn to her. " Help them I'm going after Victor." I start to walk away from her. "Let me help you." I shake my head at her. "You already have done more than enough but this is between me and him." I try to smile at her a little it before turning and walking away.
I was walking through one of the corridors when Victor appeared in front of me. "Come on Y/n let's see if you have the nerve." He quickly teleports away but I can feel the Darkness in the siphon and start to follow it. I'm ambushed as I walk through the corridors but I have had enough. I let the serpents arms reek havoc. "No one is slowing me down anymore tonight!" I use the arms to rip off one of the soldiers head clean off of his body. They then quickly pick up another solider tearing him in half. The Serpents arms start eating the hearts of my latest victims using it to replenish any health I had lost. The trail finally stopped at a door to what I believed was to the attic. I pull out my guns looking at them for a second. "Time to end this." I walk through the door. "Surrender or Die Y/n your time with the Darkness is over accept it!" I hear Victor call out. I walk into a plain view as he appears to stand opposite me. "Y/n. Y/n. Y/n. this charade has gone on for too long." He hold the siphon out in front of me. "This instrument doesn't just contain the Darkness. It can also destroy the host. Truly destroy the host." I look at him "You know I might have taken you up on that offer a while ago but now I have found something worth living for." My guns click. "You are a fool Y/n!" Victor immediately started to fire something from the siphon at me but I quickly dodge. "Not this time." I start shooting at him but he quickly teleports to another part of the room. " You'll have to do better than that y/n." Every time I get close to landing a hit on him he teleports out of the way needless to say I was getting more pissed. 'If I could just get the siphon away from him.' I decided to start watching his movements more as he teleported. I had finally found a weakness Victor would teleport to his right hand side for some reason not that I needed one it was a weakness that worked in my favor. I quickly fired some rounds at him. He obviously teleported to dodge him but what he hadn't realized was I had moved to stand in front of where was going to teleport too. As soon as Victor appeared his eyes quickly widened as my fist met his face knocking him down. Victor had let go of the Siphon it dropped to the floor with a thud. I look down slowly picking it up.

"It's over Victor..." I say looking down at him. He quickly gets up trying to grab the Siphon from me. He grabs at my face pulling at the burned side. I can feel a hole being made in my cheek. The flesh being ripped away disfiguring me. "You are nothing! You are unworthy! The Siphon will torture you and consume you!" Victor shouts as he struggles to take the siphon. I push him off before backhanding him with the siphon.

The memories all come flooding back mixing with the pain I was currently feeling. Losing my parents and Olivia. Losing my whole village. Spending five years all alone in the forest. I grit my teeth filled with Rage. This was the man who had caused all that pain. I now start smashing the siphon into his head not stopping even when it had caved in and he was long dead. I only stopped when I was too tired to carry on The siphon opens and the Darkness flows back into me. I had fully regained it's power. "TAKE THE SIPHON IT WILL MAKE ME COMPLETE!!!" It screeches. I know better than to trust it though. "No!" I manage to quickly snap it half before the Darkness can stop me. "NOO!!!! YOU WILL BE PUNISHED!!!" It cries before I pass out exhausted and disfigured on the floor.
